A challenging situation with a great solution.

These drapes have a linen like finish and are a great basic look for any interior. The magnets run all along the edge of the drape so they click tight to one another and do a great job of keeping light out. My room is very dark but enough light seeps through that I can move about. I have a south exposure with blistering heat and light. I think it is a situation which would task any light blocking drape. Amazingly, I am satisfied with the light blocking and insulating capabilities of these drapes.

Blocks light. This is the second pair of Eclipse Magnitech we have purchased. They ironed easily on a medium setting. The fabric is stiffer than a regular curtain, but this works well for blocking light. The magnets are a great idea, there are no large gaps in-between or separation between the curtain panels to let light in. The blue on my computer screen looks like is has hints of soft gray undertones, but in reality, the curtains are a more of a cheerful denim blue just as the description states. This Denim blue blocks more light than the Magnitech Ivory Cannes which we have hanging in a different room. I like both sets. I wish there were matching tiebacks.

Very nice curtains. They do need a good ironing to get the fold lines out when they are received. We ordered the Ivory color. They block light nicely, but we also have blinds behind the curtains so that helps too. While the room is much darker than when we had regular lined curtains with the blinds, there is still a little light that glows through the Cannes Ivory. The person using the bedroom with these curtains is shift worker and is very pleased with the amount of light that is blocked. They now sleep soundly. The magnet closure works fantastic, a great idea! I believe that these will also help keep out the summer heat. The curtains were sewn and hemmed evenly on the bottom; all the curtain bottoms matched up neatly. We would purchase these again for other rooms.

the photo shows curtains that go all the way to the ground. when received, they went to the bottom of the window sill. I bought these for a normal size bedroom window. they are long width wise and short length wise.
