This is absolutely insane thr time it has taken to get 4 12 by12 pieces of granite. Homedepot is making things slow

I was in need of a perfectly flat surface for woodworking / sanding tasks - this stone is perfect. I am thinking of buying a second one so that I can affix 4 grits instead of two. Yes, I used the back side of the stone too.

The color is pretty uniform. I did receive multiple broken tiles though. I am going to do my best to use the broken ones for narrow cuts but i may be returning some of them.

I use the tile as a flat surface to flatten my sharpening stones with wet/dry sandpaper. It works really well

Better product than competitor

Emser is the way to go. The MSI brand is thinner and poorly packaged. I have ordered the MSI only to have every tile in the box cracked or corners broken. I had absolutely no breakage with the Emser; they are thicker and packaging is much more effective. Note that they are heavy so I only ordered 4 or 5 at a time so the box was easier to handle by both me, and by the seller handlers. I use these as the top layer on stone plant pedestals that I build as they are less porous than the concrete pavers I use. I suggest sealing them for outdoor use.

I've used Emser Absolute Black granite on a few projects, and other than the occasional thick or thin piece, or the occasional inclusion of a piece of "Galaxy" granite (which looks very similar, except for the larger light flecks), I have nothing but praise for this product.
