Good but not the safest
Our toddler loves being in this stool and being involved in the kitchen. We like that we can fold this up to preserve space in our kitchen when not in use. It had no damages, looks as pictured and was easy to set up. It’s not hard to wipe down either. We do have concerns about her ability to use the shapes on each side to climb and fall out of it though— she definitely tries and it can easily be done. Though you should always monitor your child regardless of what’s happening, I am less comfortable turning around for just a second when she’s in it— and realistically while cooking you would turn to stir something on the stove or grab an item. For now we’ve taped the shapes so she can’t loop her feet in and are extremely attentive while it’s in use. I wish there was a mesh we could put over the 2 sides with shapes while baby is inside to make it safer.
Worth every penny
What a great way to have your little help out in the kitchen! Very sturdy and safe - no open holes to fall out of and not steps to tumble down. Two toddlers fit easily. Folds up for storage. Highly recommend!
I wish it came without carved out shapes.
The product is well made and I can not if good conscience leave a 1 start review because my only issue with it is the carved out shapes on the sides of the tower. My kid uses them to climb on it and today he fell over the side head first, luckily I never leave him in there unattended so I was able to catch him before he hit the ground. We now have to put it away after use because we have an open concept first floor where we spend most of our time. It has become a real pain to have to drag it in and out of the kitchen because it’s pretty bulky. We are considering getting a bench for his meals instead. Shame.
Perfect for toddlers
We love this for my 18mo old toddler! We needed something so he could stand counter height with us. When I'm prepping in the kitchen, I set him in the tower and hand him some crayons and he stays busy while I get work done. It's easy for him to climb into and it's safe because of the netted barrier. I'm excited to use it for the next few years.
4 Stars
We bought this Guidecraft Classic Kitchen Helper for our 14 month old Granddaughter. She was thrilled to be up off the floor and able to see what was going happening on the counter. The kitchen tower is very sturdy which is what we were looking for and has the front and back keepers which make this tower very safe.
Perfect for a toddler who always wants to be in on the action. Took our two-year-old some practice to climb in and out on her own but now she loves using it. Folds up easily to store out of the way. Heavy enough to feel super stable and safe. We added large felt pads to the bottom to slide it more easily on tile.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 14 month old daughter and could not be happier! Easy to put together and folds down to store. Love the gray so modern looks great in my kitchen. Cannot wait to start using it and making more memories in the kitchen with my daughter!

Dry-erase and Chalk Boards
The Kitchen Helper is well made. My son really like it, he was happy to able to reach the countertop. It is easy to set up. On the sides, there are boards for dry erase and chalk. Unfortunately the boards (dry-erase and chalk boards) separated from the Helper. I contacted Guidecraft, they sent me a label to return the Kitchen Helper. Overall, it is solid, well built. I plan to buy another one (without dry-erase, chalk boards).
One of the best purchases we’ve ever made. My daughter learned to walk about a month early because this helped build her leg muscles. Over a year later she spends about 30 min a day in it coloring or playing while I cook or do chores. Also a good place for kids to eat while standing. For our picky eater who doesn’t always want to sit and eat, it’s been a great work around. Overall, I’d highly recommend
I do NOT recommend this manufacturer (Guidecraft) or Wayfair. I purchased this item and my daughter loves it. Unfortunately, however, the hinges on the inside of the tower protrude so much that on at least 3 occasions now, my daughter has gotten very bad bruises and cuts on her back.
Perfect for small spaces and curious toddlers
This was a gift for my nephew and both him and his parents have loved it. They really enjoy getting to experience cooking with him and baking cookies along with having him at counter height for other fun projects. He always tries to crawl into it when it is out and the folding option is ideal for their rather cramped big city home. The quality is wonderful and it was very simple to assemble. I'd highly recommend this to anyone!
So disappointed! We enjoyed this tower for about 4 months before it broke. My daughter isn't even 2 yet. We didn't use it daily and only used as it was intended but it's poorly made with very small screws into the thin platform. Just this week the wood stripped and all of the screws came out so the platform came completely detached! My daughter fell through and thankfully wasn't hurt but she definitely could have been.
Our son loves his toddler
Our son loves his toddler learning tower! It’s spacious and easy to climb in and out of! Unfortunately our son uses the shape cutouts to climb up even further which is one downfall. Another is the quality of the tower is not as I expected. Pretty bummed about this considering the price! The wood does not align flat on either side when open. And lastly the stool is very easily moved while my child is moving around inside. I wish there was better padding on the legs of the stool to prevent this.
The perfect gift!
This tower is beautiful quality! It is so sturdy and well built. I loved how simple it was to put it together when it arrived, and how compact it is. It’s actually smaller than I thought it would be, which I am glad of! My little boy is so interested in what’s going on in the kitchen, so this is the perfect thing for him to be safely involved. It’s also very user friendly, as you can remove the non-slip mat to clean it. I spent a lot of time researching the best option for kitchen helpers and this is by far worth the money and the best!
Game changer when granddaughter is
Game changer when granddaughter is at my house. Now we can do alot of fun things in the kitchen together. This is the second one I’ve purchased. The last one I bought 10 years ago and it provided hundreds of hours of fun times for two boys in the kitchen from helping and learning everything from cooking to building legos to science experiments. It was well loved with lots of stickers! Great product love all the new additions - anti slip mat and netting for safety for younger kids. Love how it folds for storage too!
Good materials, bad overall product and customer service
The idea of the product is great. Especially for younger toddlers that they will not fall out. However, the craftmanship is lacking. The first product they sent me had residual glue all over the feet as well as additional drill holes in the feet. The mat also did not fit snugly and had wrinkles. I contacted customer service and they send me replacement feet and mat. Once I got the feet I knew why there were other drill holes in them, bc they don’t line up right. The replacement mat was even more poorly fitted and had huge wrinkles. I contacted customer service again and they said I could return it for a refund. At this point, I wasn’t going to take the feet back off and try to fit this back in the box. I let them know that and they did not offer any discount or anything else for the inconvenience. It’s disappointing bc the wood and all materials are very nice, but it just doesn’t fit together correctly. I thought with a higher price point, there would be better oversight on what is being sent out. The original feet were covered in white glue.
Not the best quality for the price of it
Product quality not as expected when ordering. Some holes were drilled wrong causing parts not to install correctly and the wood finish is splintering in some areas. This would be a dangerous risky situation for someone's child if they didnt see this. I could mostly fix this myself, because my LO still loves it. Just the overall craftsman ship could be better.
In love with the this kitchen helper. My daughter loved it to as soon as it was assembled.
It's a great little tool. I've used it a few times for my son, though he's not quite old enough to enjoy it fully or help me in the kitchen. It looks to be well constructed, and it's nice that you can fold it up quickly and easily for storage. My one con and the reason why I docked a star is because it has a single flaw. When you unfold the tower, you lower the standing part down, and there are two (I don't know the word) thingies that click on either side. It basically holds the bottom down so your kiddo can't push it up from below. One of the clicky things is fine, but the other was installed too low, so the bottom part can't physically get underneath of it to be secured down. Then you push them in to pull the bottom back up when you fold the tower to put it away. It's not a huge deal at the end of the day, I'm willing to live with it, but I think for the money you pay, it should be flawless every time.
