Good but Casual
I'm torn giving 3 stars because these placemats are good, there's nothing wrong with them. But when I opened them I immediately knew they wouldn't work for a more formal Holiday gathering. I'd say they are more suited for an outdoor Fourth of July BBQ. First off the description mentioned "sturdy" but they are very thin and flimsy. There is no weight or heft to them. Second, the color, in my opinion, is more of a faded, washed out, dull red. I looked at several in different lighting and they aren't as vibrant as I had hoped for from the photos. Again, the placemats are good, just much more casual than I was looking for.
