Arrived severely damaged - no response from the vendor

Tried to upload photos, but file size needs to be below 5MB. The corner of the box was damaged when delivered, and the table top corner was broken cleanly off. When target reached out to try and have a substitute table top sent from the vendor, the vendor did not respond to their request. Target was kind enough to refund our money when we brough the damaged set back to the store, but I was very disappointed that the vendor didn't respond to our request to obtain a replacement. I really loved the charis/set, just wanted a table that didn't have an entire corner piece broken off.

Beautiful dining set

I love this dining set and am happy to hold on to this for many years. It was easy to assemble but took me a while to do on my own. Excellent quality and color of the wood.

Sturdy enough kitchen set, however, the top table surface scratches easily. Later found chairs became loose and screws holding seat tops on chair frame were falling out - they were too short and needed to be replaces.

Shipping was great. Table and chair looks nice but overall build quality is questionable. The clear coating on the table has started chipping off just after a few months of use. The seats on the chair do not stay attached to the frame either so do not pick the chair up by the shed of the seat (as you might do unintentionally to scoot the chair in or out from table). I ended having to use 3M double sided tape to help keep the seats attached to frame. Longer screws might help but you run the risk of them poking through the seat.

Beautiful dining set at an affordable price

We really like the quality and look of this table. I might have to knock off just a little bit because the color is definitely darker than the pictures show. We think it looks more dark walnut than light walnut. Chairs are comfy and it really opens our space up. I will review again once we've had it for awhile as we have two young kids and I'm interested to see how it holds up with their wear and tear! *Update* we've had the table now for a few months and already it's showing big signs of wear. Everyday use of pencils, coloring utensils, etc. has definitely shown in the wood. It's a very soft wood, so that was to be expected and we are now using mats for the kids when they color/write on the table so it doesn't go through. We can literally see the words my daughter writes on the table!

Decent set

Nice looking set, pretty easy to assemble. The chairs are not the most comfortable and the table top scratches and dings easily, but for the price point I suppose that's to be expected. We needed a set that could be abused by our children and we wouldn't be too upset about it and this fits the bill.

Perfect, simple, modern set.

Love it. Can't believe the deal for this super cute set. Was pretty easy to put together. And I like that it looks good with either 4 or 6 chairs around it. The color is really nice and the chairs are so simple and cute.

In terms of quality, the table and chairs are quite sturdy and I feel a good value for what I paid for. My only two things to note is that the table is a little darker in person than in the picture and as others have echoed in their reviews, the chairs are a bear to assemble as each one took me about 30-45 minutes to put together if everything went correctly.

Exactly What was Expected

Looks like the pictures - exactly what I expected. I gave this 5 stars since I knew to expect the couple hiccups I encountered from past reviews. To echo what a previous reviewer said - the chairs are very difficult to put together and they staple the legs to the bottom of the table. It took my husband and I (both fairly handy) at least to 30 minutes to put one chair together. The table legs come in their own box and they they staple that to the bottom of the table with thick string. The staples are nearly impossible to get out and it seem completely unnecessary to put as many staples as they did (20 minimum). Other than these time consuming items the table is exactly what we expected, sturdy and looks great in our new dining room.

Great set

This is a beautiful set, high quality and well made! The reasons I only rated 4 stars was because the chairs are a huge pain to put together, they take so long because of the location of the bolt, and also the chairs reek straight out of the box so I suggest airing them outside for a bit. Otherwise I'm so happy with this purchase.

First Dining Set!

Set was delivered during a snow storm. Was worried about it. But everything arrived in perfect condition! The Table was so easy to put together. Chairs took a bit more knowledge figuring out left and right side pieces. Assembly will go faster if you have a electric screwdriver with Allen wrench attachments. Be careful not to strip screws, tighten just enough then do the reset with a hand held Allen wrench. Makes assembling so much easier. Love this set and works perfectly in the space!

Pain to put together

Really cute and good quality but VERY frustrating to put together. The table was easy but the chairs took about 3 hours. Looks really nice when it’s all set up though!
