Outstanding quality and ease of use. This is our third magma grill for our boats. This model lights easily, cooks well ( even in the wind) and rides securely on the pedestal mount on our swim platform. A must for boaters.

Pain in the ass to clean, and takes forever to get hot. Had to replace regulater twice before it would get above low heat. Grease get all over carry bag even after you wipe tray out hours later.

I have had numerous grills on our boat and dock, and this grill is way overrated for the cost. It takes over twenty minutes to get the grill to a “sear” temperature. Then if you don’t clean the infrared heating element on a regular basis, the small pores in the sheet metal fill up with food droppings from the food and will then take even longer to get to a high/cooking temperature. Save your money and skip the infrared Magma grill and by a Weber tailgating grill

people who complain about flame ups obviously don't grill often. Yes if you cook greasy burgers its going to flare up. Turn it on low and keep a water spray bottle handy. Also keep the lid closed until ready to flip. I've cooked steaks to perfection. Brats, Cajun andoulli sausage and chicken wings. Love this thing. Very sturdy. I haven't mounted it on my boat yet as I keep changing my mind how and where to mount it. But the legs work great. The drip tray catches all the grease. This grill will be very useful for years to come.

Something sketchy happened

Ordered this product through amazon. Received it today from wholesalemarine. The box was correct and packed well. Could tell the box had been opened and was resealed using wholesale marine packaging tape however when I opened the factory box the product was an older model that did not have the ignition button and the temp gauge. Seems odd a company like this would re-package something with a lower quality product and sell its as something it’s not.

Very well constructed, it seems like it will last in marine conditions for a long time. Easy to set up, easy to use. We mounted the rod mount onto it and you can use it that way or extend the legs if you have a flat surface. Way better product than the original round Magma grill, worth the extra expense.

Easy to assemble. Works great.

Out of the box and working in a half hour. Got the double rail mount so grill hangs over the water.

Length measurement wrong

Even including the igniter, the overall length is 20 inches, not 22 1/2 as indicated in specs. I thought I was buying a bigger grill. Disappointed. I'm sure it will work out ok.
