Major dissatisfaction with reduced quality

Had purchased 4 of these rods a year ago (not my first purchase of Umbra rods) and decided to purchase one more so I could hang a single blackout drape across a balcony door. The rod came in 4 sections! I should have realized it because the box was very short. The rod sags in the middle and because the drape is to cover a door, a third bracket cannot be used. Not the quality I expect from Umbra.

Disappointing

I got two of these rod sets for a great price on sale, and the colour and style were good. Rather than getting two lengths of rod per set, however, each set contained four very thin, very short rod pieces which had to be cobbled together to produce a rod with joints that would have caught the curtains every time they were opened or closed. Even worse, the brackets, with their attractive circular tops, had very cheap looking supporting bases, two of which might have been covered on the sides by the curtains, but the middle support would have been fully visible in the centre below the rod, and the base of it had a distinctively unfinished look to it. The whole benefit to the rather unique top of the brackets was lost.

I recently purchased gold curtain rods for my living room, and I couldnt be happier with my decision! The gold color is rich and luxurious, adding an elegant touch that perfectly complements my décor.

Love this rod! I didn't know double rods were even a thing, but it's exactly what I needed and works great. Easy set up. The small screws that keep the rod from shifting off don't hold great, but that might be user error. I ended up using some black electrician's tape to keep the extended rod from slipping out lengthwise. Quality is excellent. would definitely purchase again.

The curtain rod is expandable, so it comes with several "pipes" that slide inside of each other to make it adjustable. The problem is, it has little plastic "stoppers" that are supposed to secure the rods at the specified size, but the stoppers DO NOT WORK. So each time you open/close the drapes, the pipes slide inside of each other and ultimately fall down and the entire rod and drapes end up on the floor.

Flimsy cheap junk. The major design flaw I found is that there isn't enough space to fit a drill to get the screws into the wall. So I had to approach from a weird angle since the metal was blocking the drill.

Flimsy and disappointing

Unless you have very light curtains and using the non extended length, these are not worth it. My curtains are lined and not that heavy but the fixture is pulling off the wall and the pole comes in 3 parts. There is no way of locking the extending portion which slides in and out. The rings therefore get stuck and it does not look nice at all. Sadly going to have to replace entirely.

The double rod looks really nice. It holds the weight of my drapes and curtains with no problem. Depending on your wall, you may need a sharper screw then the ones provided. For the ends the anchors and screws were fine because it was all drywall, but for the middle I needed sharp dry wall screws to get through the metal window frame. I have two windows together. First picture is with just the sheers on one rod. Second is final, with drapes attached with pins and rings to outer rod. I can now easily close the drapes.
