These are black, not dark brown and have a really strong chemical smell just opening the box.

Perfect match to my cabinets and made of wood that is very sturdy and substantial. Easy to assemble. So happy I purchased them.

One chair had major defects. I was given the choice to return 2 chairs and get a refund or get $25+- and keep the chair. I think I would have paid fair more in shipping it back that I was force to take the money. My counter looks better with 3 chairs instead of 4 so it sorta worked out. But the quality isn't that great.

Solid wood, quality craftsmanship

I purchased these chairs for a gift for my daughter's new home. She is very particular with her taste. Both she and her spouse love them. The chairs are heavy duty and feel solid (after you build them yourself). Staining and color were consistent with description. Lovely craftsmanship and I foresee them holding up over the years.

These are sturdy and very pretty. We wanted chairs with a more finished look to match our dining chairs and they were just what we were looking for. Priced right too.

Poor quality and damaged

The quality was not very good and many of the pieces were damaged. I bought four chairs and there are about seven damaged areas across all of the chairs. I was only able to upload three photos. Also, the backrest has a very rough texture.
