Easy to use easy to store

It is fast bakes delicious waffles. We make a big batch for 2 and freeze them. Heat them in the toaster. Easy to use and takes up so much less room than an electric one.

Love the hinges

I have an older version where the hinges are attached making it difficult to clean although it does have a thermometer. Love the new hinges which detach for easy cleaning.

It's aluminum -- NOT Cast Iron! :(

Same as another reviewer, I bought this because the description led me to believe it was CAST IRON but it isn't. I've disappointed as I don't like non-stick cookware and specifically wanted cast iron. The product description is inconsistent. Title says cast Iron, link says aluminum, description says cast iron, the details say aluminum. What is it? Aluminum! I can't eat from aluminum cookware and I'd to return it.

Love this so much!! All I wanted was to be able to put a waffle iron in the sink and wash it, and with this one I totally can! Try making leige waffles with it, you can actually soak it to get all the caramelized sugar out of it. Very happy customer!

Love this stove-top waffle maker. My kids were requesting me to make waffles. I decided to look for a stove-top version, for ease of cleanup and its smaller footprint, compared to an electric one. This delivers in every way. I have also tried some other recipes with it. Everything I have tried has come out good. Easy to clean and use. Would recommend.

EXCEPTIONAL WAFFLES......

I was looking for a non electric cooking utensil to make waffles, that could be easily washed in the dishwasher. This was ABSOLUTELY the answer to my quest for the perfect waffle maker. By following the instructions to the "T" you will certainly experience the best waffle you ever had......and the perfect serving size for one........after using it a few times, I did , however, discovery crack in the plastic handle.....I have made a warranty claim with the manufacturer......I will certainly supplement this review once I hear back from NordicWare...

Been wanting a waffle iron that I could actually wash for years. I'm glad I found this. It took a couple waffles to figure out time and temperature. It's so easy and waffles are great size and release easily. Easy to hand wash too.

I was looking quite a long time for a waffle maker that was not electric so that it could be washed in the dishwasher. So glad and happy that I cam across this waffle maker. I followed the directions, except for one exception. After pre heating the waffle maker on tow burners, I sprayed some cooking spray on each part of the waffle maker. Cooked the waffle according to directions. The best waffle I ever made and it did NOT stick. Came right out using minimum effort using a fork. While I can't predict how it will hold up in the future, after using it the first time, I am really glad I purchased this waffle maker which made an exceptionally neat waffle.

I had the older version (maybe 1975) which could not come apart for cleaning. It had a thermostat attached so it could not be submerged. This one is easy to disassemble and clean. We have used it once and I see many more uses throughout the winter.

It was a gift for my mom. She wanted a waffle maker but the ones that plug into the wall are always so hard to clean because you can't get the whole thing wet. This one was perfect for her super super easy to use and super easy to clean. Cooks both sides perfectly and you can cook other things on it as well because it's so easy to unattached the top. 10/10!!!

Waffles for Days

I use this about one to two times a week! We love to make waffles and this iron makes them so well. With a touch of cooking spray (for each waffle), that's all you need for non-stickness. Easy to clean too!

Sadly isn't Non-stick

It sticks quite a bit unfortunately. It can be quite tedious to clean because of it and I have hardly really used it much after purchase due to just how annoying it can to clean. If you're looking for something non-stick look elsewhere!

This is so easy to use and super fast. I was worried that I would not know when waffles are finished because there is no timer, but as long as you are paying attention, you can easily tell when they are done. (Once the waffles are cooked enough to not stick to the waffle maker, you can open it up and peak at the progress without any damage to the waffles.) One advantage with a stovetop waffle maker is you can cook the waffles to your desired level of brown-ness because you are in control of your own destiny! (I like my waffles a little more toasty.) You do have to be a little more careful not to overfill - the waffle maker holds about one cup of batter without overflowing.
