Not as simple as shown...

We ordered this for the back wall of a woodstove. It is pretty light weight and was concerned about the durability being around the fire. When arrived there is a sticker on the back of each panel that stated exterior only, which is crazy because they clearly advertise interior. One piece arrived broke (okay), and one corner was so crooked from the mold that we could not use. 2 panel pieces arrived wider than the others so we could not sure them either as it would not allow the pieces above to sit correctly. The color match caulking... not so much. Took some hand painting to make it blend. I now have to type at lease 500 words to leave a review so I guess I will keep talking about it. At the end of the day, the project looks good, in my opinion, but it took some extra work to make it look that way. We used the ledger in the middle of the wall to break it up. The corner ledger could not be used at all as they were not even close in size nor did the back ledge match up. Again, projects looks nice.

Excellent Product - Outstanding Results

We have been researching stacked stone products for a TV/fireplace remodel project for a long time. We finally settled on GenStone because it offers the most realistic stacked stone look and, most importantly, is easy to use when cutting and installing. We had an excellent project manager, Cole, who helped us with the sizing for our design. He was great and the customer service was outstanding. We are very happy with the final results and the project turned out better than expected. I would highly recommend using GenStone if you are looking for the most realistic look of stacked stone but want an easy install.

I used several hundred square feet of this product of the front of our home. It cut easily using a vinyl siding cutting board and circular saw set up. The install was easy using construction adhesive with screws. To be honest it took about as many man hours to caulk and do all the touch up painting as it did to initially install. A very good quality product that is almost impossible to tell the difference between it and actual stone/mortar. I would have given it 5 stars but I considered it overpriced.

Better than I imagined

We installed this product as a fire-resistant backer behind our woodstove. This product was lighter than I expected. It was more simple to work with than I imagined. The product was easily cut with a hacksaw.

Looks great, a little pricey

We were looking to change our living room wall and found these panels. The stone looks realistic and went up really easy. Overall we are happy with our choice. They do seem to be a little expensive compared to real stone.

No quality control

This is not for experienced trim carpenters. The inside of the corner is rounded and filled in with fibrous material. It will NOT set in to a real square corner. If you get it level and plumb on one side, the other side is out. All of their product (corner and panel) is bad quality control. If you are experienced with vinyl siding, you will hate this product. Nothing about it is square enough to make an easy square cut. Vinyl has a square bottom and top to make your mark for cutting. This product has no perfectly square edge to lay a square on for marking. This product does have a realistic appearance, but it is for inexperienced weekend carpenters who don't notice bad joints, not level or plumb panels, etc. The quality control is so bad, one panel rocks back and forth when set upon the one below it. This is why you can't get a look at it in the stores before trying it. They want to sell a sample for $20.00 instead of giving the stores a sample to present. I'm just letting you know to be cautious and check it out. If you want it to install to look like real stone, get ready for some real work. The videos they show will present two people who demonstrate an inexperienced carpenter if you look closely enough. I didn't. They do not have 24/7 support. They have an operator to schedule a call back on Monday.

Looks nice, but the material feels very cheap!!! $60 for something that resembles painted 3D Styrofoam.

This stuff is really good looking. Glad I installed it. Manufacturing tolerance is bit loose but for the most part not an issue. Happy with the final look on the house.

Gorgeous & Soooo easy to install!

We are THRILLED with this product! I researched & planned carefully before buying. We ordered 3 of the color options so we could see each in our space with lighting throughout the day. Delivery was great & returning the 2 batches we didn’t use back to the store was easy, too! We chose Stratford and it is stunning! Trimmed off the right flange on each panel, screwed & stacked up the wall. Easy and beautiful! Just wish we had done this transformation sooner!! Thanks HD & GenStone!

LOVE this product!!!

I know it’s a little pricey but covering old cinder block walls was so easy with this product! We flip houses and I was dreading the thought of mixing concrete, skimming the blocks and then painting and then I found this. We did an entire wall in 90 minutes and can’t wait to finish. Just follow their videos and it was so easy with minimal waste. Will definitely use this on future projects!

Actual usable size is 11" x 41" !!!

The actual "covered area of this product is 11" x 42, the 12" x 42" include the hidden 1" nail flange! Messed me up on the order as I stopped the vinyl siding 36" above the ground, assuming these would be 36" tall (stack 3 high, 12" each) but NO, they are only 33" tall, so I must order more and rip them all down to 3" strips!

Our chimney turned out beautiful! Time consuming but very easy to install. Less than 1/3 the price of stone veneer.

Bay Window

We used the Iron Ore stone panels on a bay window and it turned out wonderful. The product is great and staff was very helpful and gave my husband some tips before installing it.

Looks good, easy install. The company has excellent videos explaining everything.
