Unit was solid once put together, I am mechanically inclined if I was not the instructions were terrible only pictures.No wording. multiple holes shown on picture no detail as to what goes where our guest did not slept on it yet, but I’m a large man, and it seemed comfortable when I laid on it

This is a beautiful piece however I was a little disappointed in the mattress that came with Had to go out and purchase a 3 inch memory foam topper for the bed to be comfortable.

I had some damage. I try to be nice I let the send me the piece . I got the piece nothing would line up. I had to remove a part reposition. It's a fair product to fill space.

Instructions could have included how to properly store the mattress. Had to go online to get info.

Well made, but not perfect. Mattress is much thinner than what is pictured. Bottom drawer will not open if you are on a carpeted floor.

Cons- the pieces were not labeled

My 19 year old daughter put it together by herself.

The compressed wood is flimsy, easily breaks.

The board supporting the frame has caused people to stub their toes. I used it a few times for guests. My guests have expressed dissatisfaction due to experiencing backaches and discomfort.

There was a rack in one of the wood pieces. AFI got a new piece out the next day.

We recently purchased the queen AFI Murphy cabinet bed with foam mattress. The boxes arrived with little damage. The pieces inside were well packed and did not sustain any damage. Assembly instructions were fair. It did take two of us to assemble. The bed is very sturdy and the entire piece is well constructed. We are very satisfied with our purchase!

heavy duty. easily assembled with 2 people, would be difficult to assemble without assistance. Overall happy with the product and it was well packaged for shipping however, there was a crack at the hinge on the top which appears to have occurred prior to shipping.

This product was easy to put together. We had to wait a few extra days for the shipping overall very pleased with the purchase. It fits in a small space that allows for a multi-purpose room.

I like that it can be used as a bed and dresser.

Pretty easy to put together, although you will need help towards the end of assembly dealing with lifting the weight.. When I received the shipment, some of the parts were poorly painted. I will say AFI was responsive in replacing those immediately. The only criticism I have is there are some screw heads exposed on the decorative parts of the unit, that would have been easy enough to provide a screw hole cover, which they did not.

Solid build and good finish furniture

Good quality, assembly a little difficult and the bottom shelf is too tight when unit is placed on carpet. Not sure what the best remedy is for that. Overall good selection

Quality Construction-Be Aware of Assembly

Bought this from Home Depot. Assembly was OK with a few exceptions. Parts are numbered in the instructions but each piece is not so you have to visually match each piece. There are a few wood screws and most of the corresponding holes are NOT pre-drilled making it difficult to get the screws started in the heavy wood. I recommend drilling your own pilot holes. Attaching the mattress base to the main cabinet is somewhat awkward. Once assembled it looks good and is functional.

After finishing the basement that included a spare bedroom this was the perfect solution since we use the room for exercise equipment. When we have guests the exercise equipment is moved out and we then have a queen size bed. Assembly was very clear and straightforward. Everything fit as it should. The only negative was the screws used for the hinges on the bed frame. They were just drywall screws and broke as soon as they went tight. I replaced them all with real screws and that solved that. Overall I'm very pleased with the build quality and the finish of the wood. It looks great in the room.

Awful. Box missing, huge cracks, huge hassle.

DO NOT BUY. This whole experience was a nightmare. First, the delivery was missing a box. When it was finally delivered, the bed support had an 8" crack. I asked for a replacement. When the replacement bed support arrived, it had a 3.5" crack. The Home Depot customer service said, "This happens a lot." Fed up, I asked for a refund. Don't believe "Free and Easy Returns." They said I need to dissemble this heavy furniture and bring the back to a Home Depot store myself in order to get the refund.
