Instructions weren't clear.

Instructions were too confusing. Holes didn't line up. Had to rig some spots to make it fit. Took 45 days for 2 people to build.

Double 24x12 Gazebo

We purchased 2 to place end to end next to our pool for a place for the family to gather out of the sun. Before installing them we sealed /stained them for added protection. Glad we did, we like the new color better. The quality of the units were top notch and the customer service outstanding. Loved the app that aids in assembly. Finished it this fall, can't wait to put it to use next spring. Lastly while installing them the first unit, we had a storm blow thru, it went thru 50 moh winds with no problem.

Great product!

We put this together and installed it over two weekends! Instructions were easy to understand and this is very solid. Highly recommended Backyard Discovery, we got it up in time for our Fall Party!

Awesome poolside gazebo

I bought this gazebo to replace an existing Tiki hut with a deteriorating thatched roof. I love the clean lines of this structure and how it fits into my poolside space. I especially like the durability of the metal roof and the wind rating (we’ve had two major storms this year with tropical storm force winds and no damage to report)

Took weeks for 2 people

This took us almost a month to build as each step takes at least 30 minutes to complete. Just removing the shrunk wrap off of the metal took hours and multiple broken nails to complete. Even with a video, the instructions weren't clear.

nice gazebo

Gazebo was slightly more challenging than expected to assemble. The quality of material was great. Shipping and packaging were also good. You'll definitely need at least two people and likely 3-4 for the squaring process. Overall the ridge cap was the most difficult part.

Old world craftsmanship….New world assembly

I am anticipating delivery of my 3rd Discovery cedar carport. They are fantastic and pictures just don’t do it justice. I highly recommend this company! Better get one while you can!

Delivery of the gazebo kit was prompt. Install directions were thorough. Looks great and seems like it will hold up for years with proper maintenance.

Easy to follow build progression. The sorting of the hardware and box opening sequencing would be helpful.

I added 4 feet to the carport height to house my 18 foot travel trailer. I inserted 3.5” x 3.5” x 2’ posts into each 7’ post. I then sandwiched (2) 6” x 1.25” x 4’ cedar boards & (2) 3.5” X 1.25” to the center posts. I then attached the provided baseplates to the new extension posts. The build from that point was normal.

Solid purchase for this price point

This gazebo is one of those "get what you pay for" things, and while it definitely gets the job done, do not expect solid wood posts and also know it is a bit of a pain to get it put together. Overall it seems like a solid purchase for this price point, curious to see how it does with long term use and wear.

Exceptional quality and engineering!

We purchased this to provide shade and protection on our property in the Wyoming mountains, and have enjoyed it thoroughly since we have had it up. We chose this for the structural ratings given, and after completing the assembly, am confident that the structure will meet and exceed expectations!. The directions were great and easy to follow, and everything lined up perfectly! It is as appealing as it is sound. Highly recommend!

Great Quality!!

This took a while to put together but it was totally worth it! The quality was amazing and it it gorgeous!

Nice structure!!

Not for the weak of heart to put together. We just had two of us putting the gazebo together contrary to advice. We were shorted a couple corner brackets but once we got started it went fairly smooth. We added teardrop lights and a couple fans. It provides good shade and the fans keep a breeze stirring. If you’re not up for a full weekend project, pay to have the gazebo assembled.

Great Outdoor Entertaining

The BILT app for build instructions with videos is extremely helpful. Just a note, we were missing some hardware when unpacked, but the manufacturer made it right immediately.

We love our gazebo! Very sturdy and exactly what we needed for shade on our new patio which gets full sun most of the day.
