Soft and easy on the eye

I really like this rug. It has darker, more vibrant colors on the ends. Then it fades into lighter colors in the middle. It has a nice flow visually and feels so good on your feet. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Awful smell won’t go away

We expected some off gassing but it’s been almost 2 months since we got this and the smell is only getting worse. It’s really unpleasant and a huge disappointment. Luckily it’s been nice enough to have the windows open because if we close them the whole first floor starts to smell. I’m worried it’s not going to get better and I really regret this purchase. It was our first time buying from Rugs USA after hearing good things, but I can’t say I’d recommend purchasing from them if this is the quality. Feel like I just threw money in the trash.

Vibrant soft rug

Beautiful rug! Not quite shag but definitely a more luxurious pile than I have had in recent years. My feet are in heaven. It goes with my medium-brown couch and artwork with red, orange and white just beautifully.

Disapointed!

I purchased this exact rug four years ago and it was thick and soft and so well made. It lasted really well, but after 4 years I needed to replace it. Because I loved it so much, I purchased the same one, only you did not have it in an 8X12 so I got the 7X11. This time, the rug is thin and so much cheaper that I couldn't believe it. It's not "cushy" and soft like last time. What a disapointment!

Rugs USA Blue Multi Striped Shaggy Rug 5' x 8'

Overall, I am happy with the rugs color. The pile is about an inch high, but nowhere near as plush as in the video. Also, beware that the edge binding is not the heavy binding shown in the video of the product. The one picture in the product (Blue multi striped only) shows a different cheap edge binding. I called customer service and asked if this particular product had the heavy edge binding as in the video or the cheap binding in the one picture. After being on hold for a while, I was told the picture was incorrect and I would be getting the heavy binding shown in the video. When I unrolled the rug, the binding on (2) opposite corners of the binding were unraveled. Fortunately, I have heavy needles and white carpet thread and was able to sew the corners properly. I purchased this product from Rugs USA because of the video and after speaking with their customer service. If I knew I was going to get the quality of product I received, I could have purchased the product elsewhere at a cheaper price.

Pretty rug, yes- do not buy

I purchased this rug and fell in love with how it looked in our space. Absolutely LOVES the look and feel at first. After about 1 week of having the rug out, we started noticing the chemical/ skunky type smell. We left the rug out for a bit longer and the smell only got worse. It got to the point where I had to throw it out because it smelled so bad. I have to wonder what chemicals were in it to produce that smell. It is actually so bad that since it has been removed, our hardwood floor now has the lingering smell. Our kids blankets and toys that were thrown around picked up the smell too. Also note- the material of the rug does not wear well either. In the short time it was used, it got quite matted down and not shaggy looking at all. Looked pretty bad. Save your money and pass on this one.

Something has changed!

Was quite disappointed with this one. Not sure if the different color choices for this item are made at different locations or what, but we have enjoyed a beige multi-striped for the last three years. This year, we decided to order a blue multi-striped one. We never even took it out of the packaging! Simply cut back the plastic about a foot and examined it. The backing on this rug was completely different from our previous rug, and the weight of the pile was so thin I could easily push my fingers into the backing. Extremely disappointed. Not sure if this rug is made by another manufacturer now or what, but we had to return it.

SMELL!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t buy it. Color was perfect, loved the look. It didn’t matter. A day after I put it down then entire room started to smell of strange almost melted synthetic/plastic. I can’t even put in to words how awful the smell was. I had someone come to service window coverings in the room and they were gagging and couldn’t do it. Both sides smelled absolutely terrible. I tried airing out the room, air purifiers. I have a house full of rugs this has never happened before.

Definitely not Denim Color

purchased this rug in denim twice online through Lowes but both times the rug looked more dark gray than navy and there was light gray that could possibly be considered a baby blue color depending on the angle but the dark areas were very dark gray. the 2nd time I went to pick it up from Lowes, the customer service specialist was super nice and offered to unroll it there in the store so we could see it. everyone agreed it was not blue and beige but dark gray and beige instead. Very disappointing because I've been looking for months and this rug felt so soft and appeared to be what I was looking for. Unfortunately it wasn't. On a good note, Live Oak Lowes has superb customer service and I appreciate their continued willingness to go above and beyond.

Colors are OFF!

So disappointed that the colors aren't reflected accurately in the images or description. The "gray" version of this rug is actually FULL of a nasty-looking brown/greige color that completely ruins the rug. The photos appear like it's mostly black/white with a touch of gray mixed in, but don't be fooled. If you are trying to shy away from sophistication and instead go for that college dorm or bachelor pad look this rug might be for you. Otherwise, I'd avoid this rug like the plague. It is soft, but that's literally all it has going for it. Rugs USA is the only place I've ordered rugs from for the last ten years and colors are typically spot on. This was a big (and expensive) fail for me.

Beautiful Rug

I never thought I would end up with a striped rug in my family room I searched for months before I bought this rug. Honestly, I bought it from the way the reviews were written. I needed a certain color, size and wanted something soft and comfy under my feet. This rug checks all the boxes. The colors are absolutely gorgeous it seems durable and well made. I got a great price on it at JCP. Colors Taupe, Tan, Ivory, Teal, thin stripe of navy and a sprinkle of charcoal.

Just what I was looking for!!!

We recently installed hardwood floors throughout our house so I've been looking for several rugs. I chose two of the gray six foot runners to go in our bedroom on the sides of the bed. I was really impressed with the shipping and handling. The rugs arrived in just a few days and were not only wrapped tightly in plastic they were also in their own individual boxes. I ordered rugs from two other well known companies and those rugs were shipped only wrapped in plastic. They weren't damaged or anything but for Rugs USA to offer free shipping the double protection was a big plus. I love the rugs!!! They are just what I was looking for. The colors look like the pictures and they are very soft!!! Softer than I expected them to be. Our boxer also loves them!!! Our bed is pretty high off of the ground and she was having a hard time jumping off of the bed because her feet would slide right out from under her on the wood floor making her scared to jump down. With a rug pad under these rugs they don't move when she jumps down now. So she's happy, so we are happy and would recommend them for this use.

Blue Ombre Striped Shaggy Rug - This Rug Rocks!

When redecorating her bedroom, my daughter's biggest request was a plush, thick, pretty rug that would be comfy to play on. We narrowed it down to several shag rugs. This beautiful blue ombre rug hit all the requirements. Couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. The 6x9 cloud of luxury surpassed mom's expectations as well as my daughter's. This most excellent rug is extremely thick, comfy, vacuums nicely, with a color pallette that is beautifully mixed together. It was better than the picture. We are using a rug pad but honestly think it would be fine without it. The only negative (which wasn't a negative for us personally) was a slight chemical smell when opened, but that was to be expected. It aired out just fine and no lingering smell. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Striped Runner

I ordered this rug as an accent item for our boat. We have ship wreck grey floors and blue counters with grey moulding. This rug arrived and is mostly brown and tan; with minimal blue splashes. No gray whatsoever! It is completely different that the photos represent. In addition; the description; says that the rug is a thick rich pile. In person; it reminds me of cheaply made; sculptured shag rugs from the 70’s -80’s. The pile isn’t thick,and open spaces are evident; as the pile gets stepped on. Basically; the rug looks like a Kmart knock off of a designer rug! This is my first review ever! I felt it necessary to speak the truth; and avoid fellow shoppers the disappointment that I felt after breaking open the plastic! Instead of dealing w returns hassles; will just put in pool house changing room; and not worry about our guests trashing it with excess shower water!

Plushy but much greener than we expected

We bought the sky blue striped rug. It arrived quickly and unpacked easily. It did not have a strong chemical smell (and I'm highly sensitive to those). The rug is much greener than we expected, though. The middle has a lime green stripe, and the rug overall is more green than blue. It's pretty, it's plush, and it will work well in a room where we also needed a rug, but it is disappointing how much more it leans toward green/turquoise. It does have a coastal flair, though, so other than it not being perfect for the room we wanted, it's a great rug. (The rug is awkward in the pictures because we didn't bother moving the couch to try it in the room. Also, the photos were taken at night, so the lighting comes from lamps, not the sun.)

Decorative Shag Carpet

The quality of this rug made by Strick & Bolton Laurie is my favorite rug so far. Also, padding by Nourison Non-slip makes carpet soft and comfortable. The walls in the bedroom were painted with a feather duster in white, tan, blue and maroon to give the room a light and airy feel. The multiple colors in the stripes in the rug helped to show off the colors painted in the wall. The rugs that I purchased look even better when they are in your bedroom or living room. This is a shag carpet, so read the cleaning instructions. Cons- using a vacuum with a better bar could give you a negative result was however, I did read online Overstock.com suggestions for safe cleaning procedures. Yes, I would recommend this carpet to a friend.
