This is a great rug, but it is very chunky. The knots are big and the surface is not smooth. That said, it is a terrific rug for an entry. I purchased it for a bedroom - a rug for each side of the bed - but it is not the smooth soft surface I needed for bare feet. Handsome rug nonetheless! Unfortunately, I had to return it.

Seems like it won’t last long.

The rug looks really nice but I don’t see it lasting more than a couple months. We’ve only had it for about two weeks and we’re seeing loops unraveling. It slides and bunches up constantly. Kinda bummed because we’re still in the return window but it’s not in “new” condition to return because of how quickly it’s becoming worn out. We are not rough with the rug, it’s just two people in our house and we haven’t even vacuumed it yet. Also when we received it, the material was very “rugged” and we had to pull out a bunch of sharp sticks that were woven into the rug. Probably wouldn’t recommend this rug unless it’s just for looks and will never be stepped on.

I read many reviews before purchasing so my expectations were established in advance. I purchased two of these runners for high traffic areas in my home. They do a wonderful job of protecting the floors as they are really bulky and sturdy. I’ve received many compliments from visitors as they look really nice. Only downfall would be the excessive dust /fiber that is inherent to this type of material. My floors are a very deep brown color, so I find myself sweeping and mopping quite often. Another watch out would be the thickness of the rugs. I have one in my hallway, but I cannot open the hallway doors with the rug in place as they are very thick.
