On my first attempt it was put on indefinite back order. This was after a sales person had confirmed that the inventory was there. I cancelled the order and replaced it with another store in Tyler that confirmed the inventory. When I picked up the material it was the wrong color. Fortunately the customer accepted it and we proceeded. Now I am being sent charges for inventory I did not receive. For my first order in over 3 years, it was a unpleasant experience that is still trying to be resolved.

New kitchen refresh

New kitchen refresh. I wanted to match existing floors. Last remodel was 18 years ago. I was able to track it down with Lowe’s help. Shipping was 2 weeks out but came in a week.

While this flooring is advertised as Bruce, I’m not so sure. The Bruce name was not to be found anywhere on the box or planks. Much of the flooring was warped, cut crooked, and surface flaws. Installation was a real challenge. Not sure about long term viability. I would not recommend.

Finish doesn’t last/ No customer support

We’ve had these floors a little over 10 years. Had a couple of boards I needed to replace due to moisture damage. I moved the cabinet that was covering the damaged pieces and was shocked at how much they had faded. I’ve also been trying to find replacement pieces for the small area that was damaged. There is none available. I really don’t want to have to replace the entire floor but may have to. Bruce’s customer support was no help. Using this product has turned into a big disappointment.

Flooring was in good shape. Good/Solid wood. However, it was slightly wider than the exact same SKU that was previously put in the house, and quite a bit lighter in color as well. So did not match up with consistency as much as we thought it might.

[Rewarded Review] Nice flooring, very forgiving for older homes

I installed this floor in 2002 and decided to replace it since it does not wear well and contrary to what they say, it cannot be sanded and refinished. So I bought eight cartons this April and started out in a kitchen that had a square footage of 80 sq. ft. of floor space. The quality control is so poor that I had to use three cartons (120 sq. ft.) to complete that part of the job. To think that I would take the bad pieces back to Lowe's to return it is absurd. My finished floor is beautiful, I'll give them that much. I stapled it down and I would never glue this flooring. Installation was easy other than tossing the bad pieces.

We’ve had this flooring throughout our house for 10+ years. As we’ve added rooms, the product has remained available and well-matched in color. These thin 5/16” boards are very susceptible to warping in the presence of water leaks or large spills. Don’t recommend for kitchen or bathrooms.

This requires professional Armstrong qualified installation, however, our previously installed Bruce Natural Reflections in other rooms has lasted over 10 years and looks like new. Highly recommend for a traditional wood floor look. No regrets.

Blended in beautifully with older flooring installed years ago. We were surprised at first to see the SPICE color still available. Very hard and durable finish. Very Pleased with the results.

[Rewarded Review] Looks Beautiful!

It isn't my 70+ year old oak floors, but they match well w/my old floors and ties the house together. My 12' x 14' flooring was installed in one day by one person. It glued down well and was easy to work with. Only have a few square feet of bowed sections that were rejected by the installer.

There were approximate 20 ft of boards that were the wrong type. they were 2 ply, 1/8” thicker, and wrong tongue and groves. Did not have another of the correct boards to complete the job. Had to cut off the tongue to use boards along the wall and in the closet.

Great product! We’ve had this flooring in our home for 12 years. Although it shows some natural aging from our Labrador Retriever the finish and shine is still absolutely beautiful. We JUST installed about 60sq. ft. in our RV.

Pretty good

We have had this flooring in our house for over 15 years. We installed a lot of it ourselves and it was very easy to install stapled down. It generally looks good, does scratch easily, but my biggest complaint about the floor is that is fades really badly in areas where the sun hits it. Unless you are someone that keeps blinds on your windows closed.during the day. I like to have all of my blinds up and it really faded badly in front of our sliding glass door. Maybe all wood floors will fade, but this floor is not easily refininished like traditional thicker hardwood. They say you can get one refinishing out of it since it has such a thin layer of wood on top.

Good alternative to 3/4 inch flooring

I've installed approximately 500 square feet of the flooring in a couple of rooms over the past few years and my impression is generally positive. The product installs well over the existing wood subfloor using a Bostitch pneumatic stapler and 1 1/4 inch staples. Armstrong/Bruce has apparently changed the name of product line from Natural Reflections to Natural Choice, which has caused some confusion when re- ordering. My reason for not giving the product a higher rating is due to the amount of material defects found in each box, which from my experience exceeds 10%. For me this demonstrates a lack of commitment to quality control on the part of the Armstrong company.

Great for Remodeling an older home

I started about 10 years ago with this product, re-covering many of the original plank floors in my 100+ year-old home, one room at a time. I purchased the staple gun made specifically for this product, and found that these irregular length planks go down easily and look fantastic. It has also proven to be very durable, and keeps it's good looks over time. This is a solid oak floor but only 5/16 inch thick, so it conforms to slightly irregular old floors better than the 3/4 inch versions, plus it only raises the floor 5/16 inch. Until I finish all the rooms where I want a hardwood floor, I will keep buying this product.

Poor quality, hefty price tag

Let me start this by saying, I had to buy this flooring because the previous owners of our house used it in our dining room and it is next to impossible to remove. So I get to Lowe's and drop $2000 for this "high quality" real hard wood flooring thinking...ok, it's expensive and made in the USA so it's going to be amazing! Wrong. About 85% of the wood in the 16 boxes I had to buy to finish my floor was warped and extremely hard or impossible to install. (It literally took 2 people on the ones that could be installed) Some of the flooring was the wrong color, obviously from some other finish. Numerous pieces had chips and nicks out of them brand new out of the box that had to be filled with wood filler. On top of all of that, the pieces are all different sizes, so it's like putting a jigsaw puzzle together to not make it look stupid with the seams being far enough apart. We ended up burning about a third of the wood we purchased because it was warped or damaged, and had to go back to Lowe's to buy another box to finish the job. I would never recommend anyone buy this flooring. Ever. It was a nightmare.

I purchased this floor as a recommendation from Home Depot as I was looking for something a little less expensive than 3/4 as I had 750 sq ft of area that I had to cover. I then returned to the store to purchase the installation supplies and no one knew anything about the installation of the floor. I went to multiple Home Depot stores, talked to multiple people and they all told me something different. The flooring didn't come with any kind of installation manual or a resource in which I could find one. One associate went so far to tell me that you just lay the flooring down and no glue or nails are needed!

I love these flloors

We had this floor installed 10 years ago (kitchen and dining room); we love it so much, we decided to match it and do the rest of the house. I was worried it would no longer be available *and* that the floors (which would be right next to each other) wouldn't match. It is a perfect match! You cannot tell which floor is new and which is 10 years old! No fading, no really bad scratches after 10 years. There was a major snafu with delivery (a month delay), but Steve Bartle in HD's customer service was awesome and made sure our wood was delivered. Please, don't ever discontinue this product.

Nice Flooring

We purchased this flooring when it was half off on the Special Buy of the Day. This flooring was installed in our living room, dining room, kitchen and halls. We had them professionally installed. The installer said that the flooring is not worth more than the clearance price we paid and that the crew had to do extra work to get it installed due to the way the boards were constructed. Overall I would recommend this product of you for it on sale for $111 a box.
