This rug was very nice although I had to return it. It had some gold in it and I bought it for my son's bedroom, so I had to swap it for one that was more masculine. It was very nice, and bigger than I thought it would be. I would buy it again if I had a place for it.

This is the perfect rug for layering because of the irregular shape. In a narrow space where you must use a smaller rug, leaving bare floors at the long end of the room, this rug layers perfectly to fill in that space

Hate the gold specks!

Somehow I missed the fact that this rug has gold specks on it. It's horrible with the cowhide look. It's not my style. However, I know style is very subjective. Why I gave it 3 stars is because it's super thin and retains creases unless you steam it. Just bad quality overall.

High end look for good price

These rugs look super high end. Everyone always asks where I got them! I used them at my wedding and now they are in my bedroom and living area. Easy to vaccum and they are super soft. I bought a mat for under that makes it even softer to walk on.

Suits it's purpose..quality not quite there but reasonable price. I bought this as a temporary fix to flank my furniture as the first rug I purchased wasn't quite big enough .. so I layered this one on top. It gave me the extra size I needed.. I agree that the gold makes it look a little cheap, but I added a gold clock to bring it together.. I wish I had ordered the one without the gold. But will do until I can save money to buy a larger rug.

I am very pleased with this rug. I purchased it for my work space. At first, I wasn't sure about it because the spots are actually a metallic gold color, not light brown like they appear in the photo. I gave it 4 stars because of this and it is also thinner than it appears in the photo. It actually works perfectly with my other decor in the waiting area. I have a lot of traffic in and out, and it is wearing very well. Another plus, is that it is easy to sweep. I get many compliments from my customers!! I'm thinking of purchasing another.

GREAT FAUX COW HIDE RUGS. With a touch of whimsy.

Love these. They are really good quality, and look close to real. But they don't have the animal odor. So my dogs aren't bothered by the smell of real hide. Love the touch of metallic. Also washable for easy cleaning. Bought two and have to place another order.

Beautiful faux fur rug that is true to pictures

Pros: - Lovely colors and design. - Rug is just as it appears in photos. Cons: - Rug is very thin. Make sure you get a rug pad for this one in order to both (1) avoid slipping and (2) avoid bunching and wrinkling. - Faux fur definitely feels fake. I purchased several rugs and this was one of the the middle-of-the road in terms of how it felt. Some of the others felt much nicer. However, this one went well with our decor so we ultimately went with it.

Great Quality and Easy to Clean

The quality of the rug is great for the price. When you're buying faux, your expectations need to be realistic. For a faux rug this one is perfect for us. We have hairy, hairy dogs that shed everywhere. And one who is perpetually being potty trained. This rug does well with hiding much of that, despite its light color. But, once it is too much, I throw it in my washing machine! That's right! I wash it! It comes out great and I've done it multiple times and it hasn't deteriorated at all! In fact, I think I'll purchase more for other rooms.

I have this under my breakfast table. It gets a lot of traffic, as this is the table we eat at the most. (with a toddler, teenager, and two cats it has had a lot of attention!!) It has held up pretty well for being such a light color. I wipe up any food that falls and it hasn't really stained from food. We vacuum it regularly. I bought two faux cowhides, and this is the one I like more. It doesn't have binding on the edge so it is a little more realistic than the other. These photos are after 18 months of daily, hard use. I recommend highly!!

LOOKS REAL! But better!

Very nice little entry rug. We have an eclectic style and the rug goes perfectly. Unless you got on your hands and knees and inspected it....you'd think its real!! A good purchase. UPDATE: We have a new puppy and she peed on this great hide. Well I tried carpet cleaner and sprays, it still was stinky. I took a risk and put it in the washing machine, cold water, mild soap, full tub of water. It worked! It's clean, beautiful and no stain or smell....I could hardly believe it didn't effect the texture or backing at ALL! Once again. GOOD PURCHASE.

Wow! I absolutely love this contemporary faux animal print cowhide area rug. It is thin and soft exactly how I wanted it to be. Looks fantastic in our mid century inspired living room. I just love the way it looks and feels. The gold flakes in the rug are a little bling bling that adds fun and beauty to it. Love it.

This faux animal rug is super glam and such fun! The "fur" is soft and the flecks of gold are just enough to bring added texture and interest. I love the cream color as it really brings the other pieces in my living room together, it's a soft neutral. As you can see when the light shines on the gold metallic detail it looks amazing. The rug was not "thin" in my estimation and I appreciated the soft suede under lining. It was a great purchase and if you like this style do not hesitate in buying this area rug!

Beautiful!

I bought this for my master bath. It is just perfect as you would probably not put a natural cowhide in a bathroom (water/humidity...). Not only is it beautiful and just like the picture, the size is great. Think of it likes teenage cow lol. Not a calf but def not a full size hide so perfect for a medium space! Would definitely recommend!

Perfect accent

This rug is awesome and the price was fantastic! I have seen almost identical rugs on other sites for twice the price. It is thin but that is the nature of a cowhide style rug. I haven't put a pad underneath because I have a coffee table on it and therefore it doesnt slide or move. I do feel its somewhat delicate and not something you would want in an area of high foot traffic. I also don't use a vacuum on it because I'm afraid it will ruin the gold spots which are painted on. Instead, about once every week or two my husband and I each take an end and walk out on the porch and give it a good shake. It takes me less time to do that than it would to get my vacuum out and just plug it in. I found a matching pouf done in the exact fabric on an another site (see photo). These pieces give my room a little personality and I would definitely recommend.

Soft and Versatile

The rug is thin, yet appropriately plush at the same time. The backing is of great quality. I stated that it is versatile because you can lay it multiple ways as well as style your room around it in a variety of ways. With a high-quality rug tape, this beauty is in place as a wonderful accent to my room. Shedding is light and the gold additions seem to be an appropriate amount without unattractive peeling or cracking. We walk across the rug with no hesitation and no damage appearing to be made or done. Thank you—I am in love!

Gold is very shiny

The rug is thinner than I expected, almost more blanket-like and the gold was very shiny and painted on. The sun reflected off the gold so some pieces looked golden and others looked black under the furniture. It was soft and the size was great but didn't work for the space I needed. Wish it didn't have the gold and I might have been able to make it work but overall wasn't as happy with the quality as I have been with previous orders from Rugs USA. Delivery was excellent and it was very easy to return.

Super Soft Except for Gold Specks

Already love how soft the "hair" is on this faux hide! The rug arrived rolled around a very sturdy cardboard tube to minimize wrinkling, however, different sections appeared to have gotten crumpled in the rolling process. Now that it's laid out though, those should flatten. Only other thing to note is that because the gold flecks are paint, they're only stuck to the top layer of "hair". It isn't noticeable under-foot but I don't suggest trying to run your hands against the grain.

I absolutely LOVE this area rug! It was the perfect compliment to our bedroom decor. I wanted something with a little bit of black but not too much & this was the one! I also needed a touch of gold without overdoing it and I absolutely love the gold splatter on top. It gives it a touch of glam and some sparkle to the room. I love the combination of animal skin with a splash of gold! It was just what I needed to add color texture and glamour to our bedroom!
