I would recommend if you have a fireplace mantle.

I don't have a mantle but my kitchen counter is about the same thickness and has a part that sticks out. I only used one clip for a large-ish Christmas stocking and it was sturdy and carried the weight with no fear of falling. I have other stocking holders and they either have too small of a holder or they feel like they might tip if the sock is too full.

These holders can be used in a multitude of decors. As long as the mantle or the shelf you are using has lip on it and is not a large block. Holds a good deal of weight in Christmas stockings.

Just what i needed

These are perfect. We added a puppy this year and needed something to hang his stocking on as previously our hooks were only 3 & there was none of the same kind this year. They can be opened to fit bigger mantles. Ours is brick so we didn’t mind if it got a little scratched

Awesome stocking holders

These original Mantle clips work perfectly! I searched high and low for stocking holders to work on our original fireplace in our home. I was so excited to try this out since it minimalistic and doesn’t have height like the heavy ones I kept coming across. Our mantle has a beveled edge and won’t work with some holders. These you can use as is from the box or pull it apart a little so that it goes in deeper and stabilizes. I bought two boxes for our family of 5 and I’m very content. Ty so much for a great product!

DO NOT BUY

Terrible. The hook part that holds the stocking is a U shape at the bottom instead of a hook like shown in the pictures, so the stockings just slide right off if the slightest thing bumps them.

Obsessed

I was a little skeptical but these really came through !!! Perfect low profile, super easy to install and they are sturdy. Was afraid they were too wide at first, but if you adjust the size first by squeezing the clip together so it’s just slightly smaller than your mantle thickness, it will clip right onto the mantle. I love the finish on the black - it looks like vintage cast iron.

Perfect clips , no damage to the wood !

These are amazing! They look great in the silver and really hold strong with no damage to my mantle. Plus they don’t take away from my decorations on the mantle . You have to try these !

Beautiful just what we needed. Really like there are little pads on the flat curve where it’s touching the mantel (for protection). With XL stockings, I’m confident these will definitely hold them when full.

Love that these are discreet and don't distract from holiday decor. Note - these are tight on the mantle I have - and need to be in order to hold the stockings. If your mantle is prone to scratches or dents, be very careful when installing and removing so you don't mess up the finish on the mantle. Also - the bottom hook will need to go up under the mantle far enough in order to stay put and hold the stocking. So your mantle needs some sort of ledge in order for these to work.

Good product

These fit great for our fireplace. They didn’t fall at all and hung very well. I wish it came with extra sticker so we could reuse it without having to worry about getting a new one ourselves. It also peeled some of the pain when it came off. But all in all we liked it a lot

These were exactly what I needed! They are flat on the mantle, so they don't interfere with the decor and TV. The stockings hang beautifully and won't fall with the way the clips close under the mantle.

I am very happy with The Original Mantle Clip. I bought my first set of four many years ago. I was pleased to find that the design hadn't changed and the new ones are exactly like the ones I already had. I like how they don't take up space on the mantle, they hang below so there is room for holiday decorations on the mantle shelf. I needed more clips because we have added family members over the years! I use one on a kitchen shelf to hang my aprons on year round. Great design, timeless, has many uses.

Epic fail!!!

These clips are useless and i'm returning them. they look nice but move too much and can't hold nothing. I couldn't even decorate because they moved and fell often. I bought them thinking it's safer for my mantle then command strip, or nails. Epic fail!!! No, I would not recommend them.

Seriously... listen to the negative reviews like I didnt.

These are good from afar, but far from good. Get these if you want to hang nothing but a completely empty stocking. If you try to put even a pair of socks in a stocking it’s done. Will not hold it. Colossal waste of money.

Sliver hooks

I have up decorations and I didn’t want to over do it. These worked perfect . The color gave detail but it’s not to much. Definitely glad I brought them. Also, the sliver is not super shiny.

Fantastic and last for years

We have been using our set of stocking hooks for years. They work so much better and are far more safe and secure than the decorative weighted hooks. They can take some initial adjustment to get them to the correct shape for the mantle, we've used the same set on 4 different mantles and for each new mantle they definitely required some re-shaping but ultimately worked on every mantle we've attempted.

These are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I had to bend them to get them to fit on my mantel, which I expected. However, they then pop off easily, but I think that is because of the shape of my mantel. I thought they would be sturdy enough to attach the garland to the mantel but for me they weren't. But they hold the stockings well! Well, I guess I haven't put anything IN the stockings yet so we'll see. That will be the real test!

I love these stocking hangers. Because of the way I decorate our large mantle, I don’t have room for stocking hangers that take up a lot of room. The mantle clip is perfect. Takes up very little room and other decorations can be placed on top of them. The heavier the stocking, the better they grip the mantle.

This product was perfect for what we needed...hanging heavy Christmas stockings from a fireplace mantel. We were looking for something as decorative as this for a long time. And we received complements from visitors. It is as advertised for 3" mantels, however, we pushed it's limits because our mantel is 3.5". Still, they preformed well. Hopefully, we didn't create metal fatigue.

I have a brick mantel, so I was worried these wouldn't fit or that they'd pop off. I did have to stretch them a bit to get them on, but they have stayed put really well and hold my stockings just fine! They could probably help hold some smaller, non-greenery garlands too if needed. There's almost a little padding on the parts that touch the mantel, too, so I'd assume it would help prevent scratches on a wood mantel.
