[Rewarded Review] Modern design, giving a new look to an old sink

I picked this up to help modernize the look of my main bathroom. This is a work in progress so it took a while to get to the installation process. I liked the modern look and feel of this faucet. The valve action is smooth, the water flow pattern a modern addition to our master bath, and the easy temperature control.

[Rewarded Review] Old fashioned well design is perfect!!

I love this bathroom faucet that looks like an old fashioned well pump. I love the single handle design. The oil rubbed finish is soft and smooth with gold rubbed accents on the edges. I can't wait for our plumber to arrive to install our new faucet. The top of the faucet is approx. 8" from the base plate. Super cute and fun design!

Definitely an easy install for anyone with little to no plumbing knowledge. Hoses come preattached they are 3/8” female all I needed to go get was a 3/8” - 1/2” adapter for my shut off valves.

[Rewarded Review] Great waterfall style fixture

We have landed on oil rubbed bronze fixtures for all of our bathrooms in our recent renovation. However, we were never able to find a faucet in the waterfall style that appealed to us. This faucet is the first one I’ve seen that has a very simple elegant look with waterfall style at a great price point and it looks to be very durable. Swapping from the old fixture to this one was very simple. Our previous fixtures were online Budget purchases and felt kind of flimsy compared to this one. Everything about this feels solid, well built, and I expect to get a number of years out of this fixture.

I appreciate that this faucet comes with everything needed for a simple installation. The only tool someone will need is a wrench for the water lines. The built-in water lines in the head allow for a quick install. The drain is also a clean design. There is a high quality finish that looks great and seems like it will hold up well. Water flows cleanly through the head and off front edge.

Absolutely stunning and the water fall makes the water so soft when it touches your skin.

[Rewarded Review] Don't let the looks fool you

This review is for the BWE A-96558-2 single Hole bathroom faucet Oil Rubbed Bronze Single Hole 1-handle Waterfall Bathroom Sink Faucet with Drain and Deck Plate. The installation took twice as long as it should have and resulted in cursing. Despite the nice look of the faucet my overall evaluation of it is one star. When I opened the box, I could see that the supply lines were already assembled deep in the faucet body and appeared to be not readily accessible. The terrible instructions state to install the mounting screw and tighten the supply lines in the valve body. However, to tighten the supply line connections the body must be unscrewed from the faucet head. This detail of the body disassembly is not provided in the instructions. However, it is hand tight and can be unscrewed. During my installation the supply lines came loose, and I had to remove the faucet and tighten the connections (see photo). As you can see from the image attached the supply lines are about 5” inside the body and not accessible by wrench unless the body is unscrewed from the valve. Again, there are no instructions on the disassembly of the faucet body to get to the threaded area where the hot/cold supply lines and mounting bolt attach. There are images of multiple other faucet types in the instructions. I suspect the manufacturer is trying to use a one instruction fits all approach. Because of 3 leaks this installation resulted in repeated assembly and disassembly, rather than one and done. I had one leak at the supply lines in the valve body, one at the supply line connection to the wall valve (angle stop), and one at the sink underdrain. I also had to change my angle stop valves at the wall under the sink because I had the old-style valves with the corrugated supply lines integral to the valve. These types of angle stop valve/supply lines will not work with this faucet. After completing this I noticed that the new faucet supply lines that attach to the angle stop valves have a gasket with a screen (see image). I have never seen a design like this, and I would rather remove an aerator for cleaning rather than crawl back under the sink to remove supply lines to clear calcium or sand build up… I suspect the manufacturer is trying to prevent anything from damaging the valve cartridge assembly with this design. The sink drain gaskets and are marginal at best. Be careful not to over-tighten the drain jamb nut the metal is very soft/weak, and the threads jump easily. To stop my leak, I had to resort to plumbers putty. Further, the pop-up drain assembly was too short to reach my P-Trap and I had to go buy an extension to attach the drain properly. Despite the terrible installation instructions, I did get the unit installed but it wasn’t without a few choice words. There is a plastic tool provided to tighten the mounting nut. However, there is no tool supplied to remove the aerator. Presumably because there are screens in the supply line connections. Otherwise, the faucet worked as intended and the taller faucet with the open spout waterfall is much better looking than the faucet I had before. Be aware when the air cleared from the lines the faucet design resulted in water spitting out onto the floor. I don’t see any warranty to speak of and expect it would be a chore to get spare parts, like a replacement valve cartridge for example. Overall, I am not comfortable with the brand name (unknown to me), the product components or the quality and would not recommend this faucet. Thumbs down on this one.

Excellent product , easy diy

I was impressed when I found this product and even more happy with my purchase after it was installed.The rubbed bronze finish is perfect for my bathroom, along with strong water flow

Loved the look but not the performance

We bought this faucet because of the waterfall feature, loved it. Now, about 6 month after installation the water pressure dropped in half. We took it off, checked all visible connections, cleaned it with compressed air, no change. Then we took off the little screen that's in the front where the water is coming from and inside was covered with gunk and slime, yuck.. cleaned that but now water sprays everywhere instead of coming out nicely forward.. sadly, returning.

Difficult install due to design flaws

The way the drain is designed, water gets through the overflow openings, and the provided plastic gasket did not do its job in keeping that water from leaking under the sink. I was able to fix this with some plumbers putty and pipe dope around where the gasket is supposed to seal. Also, for some reason the faucet leaked from where the supply lines connect to it but that resolved itself when I first turned the faucet on and it hasn't happened again since. Not really sure what that was about
