Cheap plastic and poor customer service

Received this as a replacement for a chair I purchased about a year ago when the gas cylinder started to fail. It took 3+ emails before my support request was even answered (not fulfilled; was just completely ignored). This replacement was to be 'comparable' to the previous chair but is not. Previous chair had a tension knob to adjust the back tilt, this one does not. This one also does not have the arm adjustments to adjust inwards (toward the user). The previous one was sturdy with a mostly metal support (chair legs (all metal), casters, arms, etc) and this one is entirely plastic except for the plate the chair sits on with the adjustment arms. When I sit back (not even lean) against the back it will tilt all the way back to the stop (like a recliner). I am forced to sit straight up supporting myself entirely (might as well sit on a stool). When indicating this to the CS rep I was told "Our warranty provides you with a replacement comparable to the item previously own based on style and price point. We have provided you with the option we have as the comparable to the same style chair and price range in which was paid for the previous chair. We are unable to provide any further accommodations as the replacement has been issued." If this chair is listed for more than $120, don't bother as there are a lot more better options out there.

super conformable, love the fact that it sits higher than others chairs and the adjustable arm rest allow me to have good posture when typing, which makes my back hurt less. I don't feel any pain after being in the chair for over an hour.

Chairing for the Event

This is the best chair for working and gaming. It is great for the back, and I do not have fatigue after sitting for a length of time. The chair looks great and is well built with a number of adjustments for comfort. This Specter is a product that allows a person to be productive for work and play.

Not sure it's worth the money.

I've had my Specter Chair for awhile now, purchased in Oct. of 2020 almost 2 years and I must say that overall it has held up to wear and tear. I am a 6 foot 250lb guy and it has not torn or ripped or had any mechanical failure that wasn't present as soon as I got the chair. That being said, there are some downsides.

To call this chair top tier would do it a disservice. I sell furniture for a living. Good, high-end brands like Norwalk, Bernhardt, Bassett, and more. This chair will rival any office chair I’ve ever sat in, used, or sold at a FRACTION of the price. The purchase is a no brainer. If you’re considering making the jump, make it like I did. Your back will seriously thank you.

Worth Every Penny

I honestly didn't know if this chair would meet up to all the hype I've seen for it, but when you tell me you can rival Herman-Miller for an ergonomic mesh chair in quality but only a fraction the cost, you have my interest. So I grabbed myself an Onyx colored Specter and it is honestly amazing. It was super simple to assemble, its really sturdy and heavy(which means quality parts) and my word is this thing comfortable to sit in for hours of gaming. I'd absolutely recommend this chair to anyone who values their back!

Lower half is good. Upper half needs redesign.

I would have liked to give a 3.5. I use this gaming chair for my office chair, so I am in it at least 9+ hours a day. This chair is decent, definitely keeps you cooler than the leather chairs (this is my second Respawn chair). The lower half is pretty comfortable for long sitting sessions. There are three items that I don't enjoy. There isn't really padding on the arms, so that is kind of uncomfortable. That is more of a whine than a big deal. However, the larger deal is the metal support behind the lumber area. It is only inch behind the mesh without anyone sitting in it. I'm a medium size woman and my back presses against this bar when I sit. It gets pretty painful. The bottom of the top half is similar. You have a plastic bar pressing across the middle of your back because it is right behind the mesh. For this price point, I didn't expect problems like this.

AWESOME Chair

This chair is legit! I know it's a gaming chair, but it also has dual usage. I wish I could game all day, but some of us have to work too! Luckily I sit in this chair all day at work and it's great for my posture. Well built and pretty easy to set up. Highly recommend.

Extremely Comfortable

I use this chair for gaming and for regular computer use. It's extremely comfortable! I can easily adjust the height so I can use it and so can other family members.
