So I borrowed this tent from my friend for my first time camping ever and I’m so glad I did. This tent was the easiest thing to put up. They really made this user-friendly and it’s super durable. I did take a picture of the tent, lying down before I went and put this up. It literally took less than five minutes. It did end up raining, so this is super water resistant. I am going to purchase this for myself and give my friend hers back.
So pleased with this tent!
Set up is so easy and colour coding means you cant' go wrong. Great quality, durable rods and pins. The mesh top is also perfect for bug free star gazing. We live in Ireland where the ground is often damp so the footprint (which is sold separately) is needed.
This is beyond easy to set up! Thankfully I snagged one on sale, however they retail for $119 USD and are worth every penny! This thing LITERALLY sets up in minutes. Maximum maybe 10 if you're OCD about smoothing things out etc (including ALL guy lines, stakes, etc - less than 5-10 minutes) as well as being able to wear it with my backpack. Example - weather is insane at the moment. Warm during day, some scattered storms sometimes below freezing at night. This tent has saved me from rain more times than I can count (and I mean storms and winds of 20mph easily) as well as cold at night if I'm unable to make the entire trek. I love my Kelty! For once, I am able to set something up myself, for myself, without any help AND in a panic! Highly recommend! For beginners experts alike!
Great tent for car camping!!
We took it on the road with three family members all over 5'10", me, my sister and my Aunt. Everyone was comfortable. Dual doors and all the little attached pockets helped keep us organized as three separate sleepers in three bags on three mats. We car camped thru Northern Nebraska along the cowboy trail, which we had been wanting to ride for years. Easy set up and break down. I've spent a lot of time in tents, I worked for the forest service on a trail crew and I volunteered and led trips for the Sierra club for a decade. I know tents. This is not for backpacking for a couple, maybe the weight could be divided by three people. But regardless it's an excellent car camping tent. Thanks to all the other reviewers who helped me find it!!
Avoid - Better Options - Poor Design
It was good until it wasn't. Used less than 4 times and the support ridge pole which is essential to keep the rain fly up snapped in half. I understand that poles break, but the design of this requires lots of pressure that causes the aluminum pole to bend over time, eventually leading it to break. Instructions even note to "watch your eyes" when installing the pole due to the high tension. I assume the replacement pole will eventually break as well.
[Rewarded Review] It’s a good tent
Good overall. We used it recently and it was tested during all conditions except wind.
[Rewarded Review] Great tent
I bought this a few weeks ago, I’ve unfortunately been through two down pours, the last one dumped 3 inches of rain in 3 hours. I’m happy to say there was no leaking and the interior of the tent was dry. The tent is easy to set up and seems well buolt
[Rewarded Review] Great tent
Great tent. Lightweight. Easy to set up. All the features you want - 2 doors, mesh windows, pockets. Easy to set up. And actually big enough for 4!
[Rewarded Review] Super comfortable and easy to setup
I took this on its maiden voyage high in the mountains and experienced high winds and heavy rain over night. I’m glad to say the tent held up amazingly and we were comfortable all night. We bought the four person tent for two of us and there is way more room than we expected.
[Rewarded Review] Spacious
Spacious tent. Easy setup and breakdown. Caught a couple downpours and held up well and kept everything dry. Wish it was easier to access the tent with the fly on but other than that no complaints. Great buy!
[Rewarded Review] Look forward to more camping
I bought the Kelty Wireless 4 person tent for car camping with my 2 year old daughter. We took it out on mother's day weekend. One big reason I bought this tent is the ease of setting up the tent. As advertised pitching the tent was very easy for the first time. I did it mostly on my own, I did have help due to rain coming in. Truly was able to test this tent to the fullest. The weather was rainy and very wet. The tent did not leak and felt very secure. This was my daughter's first camping trip, she loved this tent. To make her comfortable I put a queen size air mattress in the tent. There was plenty of room to move around and put our bags in the tent. The vents on the rain fly came in handy to get some extra airflow. The tent construction is sturdy and well done. The poles are good quality. I would highly recommend this tent to others.
[Rewarded Review] Great tent for couple with medium sized dog!
I bought the tent with the intent of sleeping on a queen mattress with a dog. The tent works great for a queen sized air mattress and there is enough room to put your stuff on two sides of the mattress. I am rather short in stature but the peak height works perfect for me. The vestibules on either end of the tent work great for storage in a rain situation. Would recommend to another couple with a dog.
[Rewarded Review] Kelty Tents are my families choice for 40 years.
It is a well made tent with great features, like the double entrance. Important in Bear country for an easy escape. Never needed, it but alway was an important feature that we looked for in a tent. Protective flap allows to to leave your shoes outside and protected.
[Rewarded Review] Awesome Upgrade
When my son joined Cub Scouts a few years ago, we bought a relatively inexpensive, name-brand "3-season" tent that proved to really only be suitable for warm and dry weather. It's served us well, but this year I started searching for an upgrade with a few desired features in mind: full-coverage rain fly, less mesh (for colder weather), and two doors (so that we could set up our cots side by side and each have an exit point). The Kelty Wireless looked great on paper and turned out to be great in real life too. During our first trip with the Wireless, we had 2.5 hours of hard rain one evening but no leaks anywhere -- a much better situation than we would have faced with our old tent. It was nice to be able to fall asleep without worrying about what I would find when I woke up. And, not only does it have all of the features I had wanted, but it also has some really useful pockets and loops on the inside, and it's extremely easy to set up (especially nice for those of us who camp with young children).
Review of Wireless 4P Tent
The Wireless 4 was incredibly easy to set up, just from watching Kelly’s own video before I got on-site. It was spacious and well ventilated and the tent stayed dry through two medium rainy periods. Items stored in the vestibule did not get wet adding to the feeling of more space inside. Was very impressed with the quick pole set up and the colour system for getting the rain fly on. It packed up easily at the end of four days and fitted back in the bag with room for the additional footprint, my mallet and some additional stakes. Only downside was the quality of the stakes, lost two as they bent in not particularly hard ground.
Easy assembly
Super easy to put up and take down! Lot's of space and love the vestibule option to create more space.
[Rewarded Review] Very nice tent
Fast shipping and arrived in perfect condition. The tent is easy to put up, but it is best to use two people as the poles are super long. Tons of room, the normal Kelty quality and workmanship (A+) and easy tear down. Can't wait to use it on our next Boy Scout camping trip in a few weeks. This tent in not light, but not overly heavy. Great for "car" camping and for camping where you do not have to hike to far to the camp grounds (like less than 2 miles). I would not want to take this on a really long hike/camp as it would be too heavy for that.

Great light tent for 4 people
[Rewarded Review] Didn't Get Wet!
I finally got around to upgrading tents and focused my search on weatherproof, floor space, and curb appeal on the trendier side. I was leaning towards the Kelty 6 person, but after setting up both the 4 and 6 person tent on the showroom floor I found the 4 person to be the much better fit for 2 people on an air mattress. So far the tents held up great through a few storms and it looks really cool! Definitely would recommend.
[Rewarded Review] Great first tent
I bought this tent looking to start my own gear stash after moving out of my parents. We always had high end stuff so I can attest this is great quality for the price. The design is simple and satisfying- the full cover fly and vestibule are great for rainy trips. I noticed the shortest pole that supports the fly at the doors doesn't secure to the other poles at the top (some tents have velcro loops) and just sits on top, but it didn't budge when I used it. Fits a full blow up mattress plus bags comfortably and everything stayed dry. Cute color scheme, easy to pack up, overall 10/10 very pleased!
