They don't last long

Purchased 50 of these for a winery, they don't survive well outside, the heat cages collapse due to cheap metal, thermocouples have to be constantly replaced. Spend the extra $ and purchase a quality unit.

Great patio heater. Visually nice and functional. We love the drink table that it comes with. It is perfect for entertaining. We will be purchasing a few more.

Good purchase

Its been two years since I bought this as a gift. It still works well. The heating element is in good condition. We use it during winter on the patio and it has undergone prolonged usage. Great buy.

This heater works! I purchased this product over three years ago, and jumped online to order another one for my extended patio. I assembled the heater myself and it still works great today! The only issue I had was the clasp for the propane door was missing screws. I called the manufacturer, and they shipped two new clasps with extra screws.

Damaged and not easy to use

Item arrived damaged and missing screws for the tank door latch. Instructions for starting using the ignition button we could not get to work. Once working it stayed lit, but could not feel the heat very well. It was windy but in a corner. So we believed it would heat better then it did. I would definitely not get another and considering returning.

Looks good, but didn't work after couple of uses!

I purchased it couple of years ago, but after couple of time using it, the heater wouldn't turn on!!! I only used it twice the first year, and it still looks nice but it doesn't work. I didn't realized that I had purchased the 3 year insurance online for it, so when I realized that I have insurance, I filed a claim to get it serviced or replaced, but insurance company was not very helpful, and asked to have it repaired at a certified repair shop, which I didn't find one in OC county, and the other option was to give 50% of the cost!! I rather they would sent a repairman to fix it or replace it!!

Love this heater

This heater was easy to assemble and move about our deck. It is stylish and adds a bit of pizzazz to our patio. It was easy to start up and kept us warm into the autumn months. At one point we secured it into the trek flooring and covered it over the winter. It did not blow over or fall down! It has not rusted either. Would highly recommend this heater.

Setup was easy, parts fit together well. Unfortunately it doesn't work. We attached the propane tank, turned on the gas, and tried to light the pilot. There doesn't seem to be any gas getting to the igniter. Also, the igniter only works some of the time.

I needed a heater for my new deck and porch, this was perfect.

I had promised my wife a heater on the new porch ASAP. There was nothing affordable local. The big box stores had zero stock and no way to order. Then I came across AZ Patio Heaters, asking a reasonable price for a 48KBtu heater. Shipping was extraordinarily fast. Package came with no dents. Assembly relatively easy - I mean, there is some dexterity involved, but it wasn't difficult. Unit immediately fired up. We'll be using it all winter into the spring.

This unit works well and looks nice, however, it was very difficult to put together. The instruction booklet was missing pages (luckily I was able to find the assembly directions on line) and the instructions themselves were hard to follow. It took 3-4 hours to put it all together. Once it was assembled it worked well. Puts out a good amount of heat.

Ok, but you get what you pay for

Pretty easy assembly. But after I assembled the heater, it would not start. I had to disassemble a part that was not in the instruction manual, fix a connection, put it back together and cross my fingers. Luckily, it fired up right after that. Couple issues: I bought a cover for it, yet it still rusted in a few spots, mainly the screws on top of the unit and the circular table top. I have yet figure out how to make it stand up perfectly straight. The wheels are awkward making it a little tough to move around. It's an ok product, maybe better for a warmer climate on cool nights. I live in the Pacific NW.

Never worked, called the company directly and my husband spent an hour troubleshooting it. It lit up and worked. 2 days later tried to turn it on but couldn't get it to ignite. Really sad because we had this exact brand before and it was great. Had to sell when we moved, so that's why I got another. 2 stars for how nice it looked. But maybe that is too generous.

Arrived yesterday. So far it works. I bought the tank of gas and hooked it up and turned it on once for a few minutes, fingers crossed that continues. Assembly was easy. Most time consuming part was filling the base with sand. The price was the best of those similar on Overstock. The packaging was crazy good and pieces were covered either in styrofoam or a blue sticky plastic wrap. That being said, my 4 stars are for a few minor dings (which I was compensated for by Overstock). I do not feel that there was any way the dings were from delivery as there was no damage at all on the box and packaging was so good. I think it was missed on assembly, they are minor though. The dings on the silver hood no one will see because it's so high up and on the brown you have to see it at an angle. The quality is very nice.

Massive patio heater!

This patio Heater is massive. I love how it has the shelf to use for a drink or anything else. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that it does not come with the propane tank. It's not such a big deal but it would be helpful for the price. I also like the bronze color will match with my decor outside. A great deal for the money. I think you would be happy with your purchase.

Perfect patio heater with a timeless look

I purchased three of these, for my outdoor living area, best investment for outdoors for 2020 thus far. They are well built. The cup holder on each has been a wonderful add. If looking for a quality outdoor patio heater with class design to match any style modern to modern farmhouse country, these are your best choice!!! Worth every penny. I will note I have only operated one thus far, but it was great and no problems. Do not hesitate, make the purchase, you will not regret it. Also, key note... these are a tad taller than the ones you can purchase at Home Depot, or Lowe's or likeminded hardware stores. This should not stop you unless you need limited height space. The cup holder is the reason for this, and definitely worth the extended length.

Same problem as everyone else - will not light. It is not the igniter, as a match or fireplace lighter will not light it. The problem is lack of gas. It's either the regulator on the hose, or the valve beneath the knob. Either way it's too much trouble to worry about. Returned it for a Hampton Bay unit.

This patio heater was really hard to put together. Not just that the instructions were difficult to understand, but the tolerances of the screw threads and pieces fitting together is unacceptably bad. Because of poor fitting screws, my heater sits at a permanent tilt. Of course I bought this in the summer and didn't put it together until October, so I can't return it. The heater itself works fine, it just bothers me that the build quality is bad.

Have to rescind my previous review!? I purchased this product after reading numerous reviews but upon reading assembly instructions realized I would need to hire someone to put together....$150 on top of what I paid for the heater. The gentleman I hired to assemble informed me the gas line was leaking and he contacted manufacturer for replacement part. No problem as I looked forward to eventually having it done right. Part arrives and ends up being wrong gas line so now I'm in for another $20 to return the wrong part. Heater is presently disassembled and laying all over floor of my extra bedroom while I await the replacement line. I've already spent more than what I paid for the heater in the first place so very irritated that it is costing me this much to try to make the product work. If I could give this heater a Negative 5 Stars, I would.

The nicest thing about our house is the outside deck area, but when it gets cold we have not been able to use the deck. Not any more. This tall patio heater keeps things nice and warm, even with a breeze. We were worried at first that the heater might burn the roof of our pergola, but the heat radiates downward and out, not up. So the boards above the heater never felt warm to the touch. We love our heater. It has made our outside time in winter much more comfortable.
