Pergola Sunshade

Really pleased with the design and robustness of the pergola sunshade.

Went up quickly with 2 people. Frame is very sturdy , good quality. Tarp is light cheap quality, no weight to it. Have to take down tarp in extreme winds as the side rods holding tarp continually slide up and down and the tarp lifts and twists. I put velcro on one side of the tarp that goes around the bar for easy removal as I am always removing it.

The pergola felt very cheaply made, didn’t require much effort to get it to rock significantly.

I had two parcels delivered which were well packaged.

Good structure, terrible fabric

The metal structure is great. It was relatively easy to assemble. The fabric is terrible as it doesn’t allow any airflow through it. We came home after work to the rods that go in the fabric ripped out and the fabric trashed because of some normal speed wind.

Poor design.

Poor design flaw. Fabric keeps getting bunched up or messed up on either side when its windy there should be ways to secure it at the top as well. Posts should have been thicker, seems wobbly.

Nice frame but very poorly designed covers

The frame of this pergola is fairly nice, however there is no way to retract the covers. As a result, the pergola was damaged during a bad storm 2 nights ago. The bar at the end of the covers on one side was yanked out of the channels in which it rides, damaging the channels on either side. I would not recommend this pergola unless you are guaranteed never to have any really windy conditions.

Cover not stable in wind

Not stable in wind, fabric blows off to the side when windy and has to be pulled back into place and anchored down with weights. Would not have purchased had I known this.

Okay but would not recommend

Product came with dents at mutiple places. Poorly handeled. Company like Walmary should take accountability of such customer experience. What a disappointment.

Not really good.

Many pieces arrived with many cosmetic damages. And 1 piece, one of the rails, arrived bended and it's quite difficult to slide and move the liner.

Good frame but topcover is useless

Good frame .but it is useless vs wind even normal wind will blew the top off everytime. Have to find a solution for the cover since the frame is good but not strong enough for solid roof.

Bars bent

Fabric is water proof but the bars that hold the fabric in place were all bent making it difficult to slide up and down

Good, not perfect

Excellent product in many ways but could do with a little refinement. Nice and solid, easy instructions but my only qualm would be the cloth covering should be on a ratchet ( or similar system). This would allow you to adjust the cover and keep it tight front and back. I’ve bought a bag of camping clips to try and keep it where I want it and cable tied it. A ratcheted cover would take care of this problem. Otherwise a good product.

Parts were dented and still waiting for reply. Was told 48 hrs. Gone beyond now.

It's a great idea, and we would have loved for it to work as shown. But it came damaged and we were not able to return it, so order at your own risk I suppose. We could not return in store and tried contacting the seller and got no response. Very unhappy.

Roof does not retract

I purchased from another supplier, the roof does not retract as stated in the description. The sides slide up and down, if you’re looking for a retractable roof, do not buy this pergola.

top of cover is not anchored

Is there something to hold the cover in place on top of pergula? I know there is the slide arms but on top it appears to have a bar on each edge but there was nothing in the directions or in the boxes to hold it down besides the sides with the sliding functions to retract it. The least bit of wind rearranges the cover on top.
