Quality is outstanding

After putting my desk together, I could not believe how impressive it looked. The price was excellent and also bought the file cabinet and 2 bookcase's. Makes my computer room look great.

Only reason I gave 4 stars was we had to get a neighbor involved to help stand the unit up. Too heavy for me to help my husband. Did not realize that when I ordered it, but nice piece of furniture!

Beautiful Unit

This product is comparable to units four times its price in furniture stores. Sure I had to put together, but I'm retired and have nothing but time. Great manual, easy to follow directions and great tips! Would definitely buy from Sauder again!

Great Desk

I will use this desk daily. It is attractive as well as convenient and with good storage.

Upset!

Two pieces of my product were damaged when taking out of the box. The desk looked like it would be such a beautiful piece of furniture online so very upset when seeing the damaged pieces.

Beautiful Piece--A FEW Problems.

I have a desk top computer and needed space for the tower. Also, more drawer space and work area was on my shopping list. This Sauder piece fit the bill. My husband is very gifted and able to put my desk together--it took 7+ hours the first day then he went back to it the next day and finished it in 3 to 4 hours. . . . at least a 10 hour job. The problem(s) were: There were scratches on BOTH of the side pieces. One had a half circle scratch (depth of at least 1/16"") and on the other end it was TWO ""S"" shaped scratches, about the same depth. He wanted me to take pictures and send them to Sauder BEFORE he put it together. I didn't want to wait, so I used a furniture scratch repair that had the exact color (dark cherry) as my desk. It covered really well, so it is acceptable. The wood is a little darker than the pictures. All in all, I am very pleased with my desk and the customer service was VERY helpful when I did have make calls regarding the ordering process.

Great Computer Desk

The desk arrived 3 days after ordering. It came in two large boxes, total weight, about 200 lbs. All of the parts were in good condition without scratches or dents. The hardware came in a singe large bubble sheet. When you get it in lay out all of the pieces before you begin the assembly. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I would suggest that you use a dead blow hammer and a low speed, high torque electric screw driver to place all of the screws. The only thing that I found difficult was that the markings for the different pieces on the bubble sheet was marked in black. -this was hard to read. I would suggest a bright color such as safety yellow or bright orange to make it easier for old guys like me. It looks beautiful and I hope to be able to use i for many years to come.

This desk is a very high-class piece of furniture. The assembly took some time but was very accurate. I did get stumped a couple of time, but the tech support was so easy to reach and helped right away. They were great.

Computer desk w/ Hutch - Assembly problems

This is a nice desk, and we are happy with it; however, the assembly process is quite challenging. . . We eventually we able to finish the assembly, but the main issue we had was with the pre-cut holes in the various boards and sides that hold the twist lock fasteners. These twist lock fasteners are a CRITICAL hardware that form the foundation of the unit and hold the various critical sides /bottoms, etc. . together. The issue we had was with the holes that are pre-drilled in the manufacturing process. Many of the holes were not drilled properly and made it very difficult to get the twist lock fasteners to stay in place. I would strongly recommend that your quality control process be enhanced to visually inspect these drilled holes on a more frequent basis to ensure the holes are drilled properly and are not cracking of falling apart. We also purchased the Library with Doors piece (Model 420609) on this unit the holes were drilled to specifications, and we did not experience the same issues as we did on the desk. The desk has many more of the predrilled holes and requires many more of the twist lock fasteners in order to complete the build process. THIS ISSUR REALLY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED

Pain and Suffering finally paid off

The website said Quick and Easy but was far from that. But I was up for the challenge, everything was going smooth until I think it was step 33, you got to turn it over on its face to get the hutch back nailed in, I had no idea were was the best spot to lift it and thought i broke it but somehow saved. Then after 12 hours and a blistered hand from all the screws, I now have a very nice desk. This is also the first time I ever built a desk or anything like this to be honest but it does feel good and was definitely worth . I would buy Sauder products again but maybe something a bit simpler because man this thing took forever.
