Product is sturdy and seems to be a quality product for the money compared to similar plastic models. One thing that it lacks is the ability to use standard electrical boxes on the knockout plate for an outlet. My electrician had to drill holes to make a standard box fit. Here is one better, just include a box that fits.

This is the best way to connect the new, flat screen gallery TVs to eliminate anything sticking out from the wall. I used this device when I was renovating my home and used a conduit to the floor to insure that flexibility would be a characteristic of this connection (use of a DVD). I can't give a final judgment as the unit is not operational yet, but so far it looks great.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect for custom installs

I am very satisfied with the Peerless-AV IBA2 Box. The amount of useable space inside the box was plenty for my Panamax TV surge protector. The single gang box opening in the bottom for a duplex receptacle is a nice feature. Highly recommended for any low profile tv wall mount installation. My wall mount is the Kanto PT300 which put the back of the TV at 1.4 from the wall so it was very tight back there. It would have been difficult to get power to the tv without the AV IBA2.

This is a well made heavy duty recessed box. Only disappointment was that the corners are not welded which allows the walls of the box to bend outward during installation if mounting screws are not aligned properly. If they are aligned, no problem. This is a much better product that the Commercial Electric Brand recessed box.

Let me hide my cable box behind the TV.

Did the trick. I wanted to flush mount my tv on the wall. Allowed me hide the cable box behind the tv. Needed to be a little thoughtful on installation to align between studs and pull wires for the plug.

Perfect way to manage all my cords.

Love it! Fits perfectly between two studs and has a pop out for an electrical outlet. Enough room for a power strip, plus cords and 2 converters. It's only downfall is no cover. I decided I will make my own cover to match with the wall and leave about an inch across the bottom for ventilation and cords.
