Actually works

Our tanks are full of ash from the fires in Feb. These filters work great. No bad taste or odours. Comes out Crystal clear! Probably can't see in photo but glass on right from tap and glass on left from filter. (Looking from decking behind glasses)

This was not exact replacement for the Sears Kenmore filter and missing internal plastic water diverter, thus I returned the filters and appreciate the prompt no haggling return policy.

does not filter lead

It does not say ANYWHERE on the filter or the packaging that it filters LEAD, but it says it in the disruption on this website. Sow which to believe? Why does it not say it on the filter packaging? The packaging lists many things that this filter supposedly removes from the water but LEAD is left out. The main reason for me buying this filter is because it says in the description that it filters out LEAD!!! Whats going on here?

No difference from GE filter. Lower $

Had been using the GE filter for years. Came across this replacement for about 2/3 the price. Installation and flow and water taste are all the same. Lower price caused me to stay with it. I have been using these for about 3 changes now (~1.5 years) and will continue.

Good Choice

For about half the price, I replaced my old FXSVC under sink water filter set with a Pentek CBR2-10 and a Pentek C1 filter cartridges. They fit perfectly into my GE filter system and the water still tastes great after two months of use. I purchased two sets of cartridges in the same order and received free shipping.

Though this filter does not carry a California certification that has absolutely no bearing on the product quality. Based upon apparent taste and chlorine odor the lifespan of this filter is superior - the reason I buy only this one.

I reviewed the CBR2-10R, the flow restricted but otherwise identical to the -10: Produces very good tasting water from the near-waste quality city water.
