I think I might have to change foods. I have been feeding my dogs this food for a long time and I had to switch because Ihave Chihuahuas and they were gaining weight and you guys killed the bank.!! so I get way less product for a lot more money. I have three dogs and two cats that I have to feed and I like chewy convenience and most of the time I get pretty good deals., but hills doesn’t give you a break.

Losing weight and tastes great!

My dog is loyal to his Nutro dog food and has been since age 2, but he’s declined in activity in his older age and needs to lose weight so we put him on Hill’s. He’s already lost weight with just half old food and half new, which we plan to keep things at to save money. He evens craves the new food and waits for it daily which is new and seems to love the flavor! Great product!

Tasty food for weight loss. My dog loves it!

My dog loves this food! My vet recommended this food because she is overweight. So far it seems to be working. I feed more of this than we fed her previous dog food. The food is high in fiber so they few more full for longer. The only downside is the price. It gets expensive when feeding a larger dog (95lbs)

I switched my cats food several times due to her being overweight and trying to find a better option. Nothing work so I finally picked up a bag of this. It one of the most expensive cat food I have found but it was well worth it. Within 6 months my cat lost the extra few pounds and was back to a healthy weight! Better yet she seemed less interested in gorging her food and more satisfied after her meal. If your cat is overweight I definitely recommend trying this. I have since switched to a more affordable science diet cat food and she has kept the weight off.

Astonished at how much he LOVES this food

My puppy is just a baby six-year old and the vet told me he is very overweight. So we’ve cut out treats completely, but didn’t want to change his life too much so we kept him on the appropriate cups of his food at the time since he always liked that food. I took him back to the vet to see that he only lost a pound. So, I was researching new foods and I came upon Hills Science Diet. I was worried he wouldn’t like it because as humans, diet food isn’t great, so I assumed it could be the same for pups. I was wrong. HE LOVES HIS NEW FOOD. So much so, that after I gave him a tester cup he went back to the bag and barked at it for more.

Revitalizing

My dog is 9 1/2 and has had 2 knee surgeries. she is a little overweight and was walking very very slowly, didn’t have much energy and seemed uncomfortable. She has been on this food for 3 weeks and has changed. much more energy, walking much better, her eyes even look brighter. hopefully this will continue and she will lose a little bit of weight too

This is the best food for my 90 lb Golden

I was feeding my big boy Purina Pro plan. He didn’t like it and he had digestive problems (very loose stools). I decided to upgrade to Hill’s Science weight management dry food. He enjoys the taste of his food now and his BM’s are soft but formed which is great. He has lost a little weight too. Great food. I hope they don’t change their formula.

Best food for my dog

Our little buddy had an episode of pancreatitis and was very sick so we switched his food to the "Hills Science diet perfect weight dry dog food" from another popular dry dog food brand and between the Hills Science food and having NO high fat table food he has not had another episode. (So far, so good and it has been about a year and a half). He loves it! He also now gets small pieces of fresh apple, few blueberries and raw carrot for treats. Glad to have found this food brand!

Max hates it :(

I accidentally ordered this instead of the large breed version. My Goldendoodle didn’t mind the large breed food, but something about this one does not appeal to him, the first time I’ve ever seen that with his food. He seems to only eat when he’s absolutely starving, so I’ve been putting some chicken broth with it to make it more palatable. He also has not lost any weight on either food

Made my dog very sick and triggered a kidney shock

My dog lost weight with it but it took away his health too. His blood test and urine tests were perfect until he got om this food. He was drinking water like a whale. Took 6 months with homemade vet recipe kidney friendly wet food to recover but he became scrawny and wont gain even with a lot of food now. This food seems to have sucked out a lot of nutrients out of body with it.

My 8yr old beagle mix has been thriving on this food. firm stools, heaps of energy and a shiny coat.

What's going on Hill's Science dog food?

Oct. 21, I paid $64.99 for a 28.5 lb bag of the Adult Perfect Weight Chicken Dry food. In Oct.of 22, I paid $79.99 for a 28.5 lb bag. In Oct. of 23, I paid $85.99 for a 25 lb bag of food. In April of 24, I paid $85.78 for a 25 lb bag that is on auto ship. I received and weighed that dog food bag today and it weighed just under 20 lbs. Again, what's going on Hill's Science?

I boy loves this food

I used to get this food for my local feed and grain. But they no longer carry it so I found it on chewy. It's a bit pricey but my fur baby has a very sensitive stomach and this is pretty sensitive on his stomach as well. The only thing is order ahead of time cuz it took chewy 5 days to get it here. I thought it would only take three but that's okay I will order ahead of time next time.

Impeccable Customer Service

I was using this for my boxer who was very overweight. It was recommended by my niece who used it for her dog and made a huge difference. It worked for my dog as well. I just want to say thank you to Chewy. When I told them my dog passed from an unexpected illness they agreed to refund the box that had just arrived. The customer service rep was so compassionate. Today I received flowers offering their condolences and a beautiful note. I just can’t find the words to thank Kevin and his team for being so thoughtful.

Problem- Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight Chicken Recipe dog food.

After feeding the Hill's Sciemce Diet Adult Perfect Weight Chicken recipe dog food for nearly a year, my dog suddenly started refusing the food in the newest shipment. I called Chewy to see if there has been a recall, and the Customer Service Representative checked and found none. Then we read through the comments and found: several owners reported their dogs got sick from eating it as well as a color change in the kibble and a formula change being noted in the comments.

Hill's Science Diet

My sweet Goldendoodle gained 5 pounds over the winter. The Vet told me to change her food ASAP. Chewy delivered my order in 2 days and Lexie has been gradually changing her kibble over to an all Hill's Science Diet. She is immediately getting good results, though she is VERY hungry and begging for food for the 1st time ever. We're going to tough it out because I think she deserves to slim down in order to live a longer, healthier life!

Our tall, female yellow lab weighed in at 110 unhealthy pounds. At Tractor Supply, we met a woman with a beautiful, fit yellow lab, and thought to ask what she fed her dog. “Perfect Weight.” I purchased the food that same day. Our 4-yr old dog now weighs 90 lbs, (2 years later), and has maintained this weight. She likes the food, which smells delicious to humans, also.

Bag received in January made our dog very sick - vomiting and bloody diarrhea

Our dog has been on this food for years. Recently, we started a new bag and our dog started vomiting and having diarrhea. After 18 hours of vomiting and once the diarrhea turned bloody, we took our dog to the emergency vet. He had to stay for 3 days and 2 nights. After he was home and over a week later, our dog seemed better and I gave him a 1/3 cup the Hill's Science mixed with chicken and rice. That night, our dog started to display the same symptoms. We immediately went back to chicken and rice and he was fine. That's when we figured out it was the food. His ultrasound and all other test have come back normal. Not to mention, he's never had diarrhea in his 13 year life. We think we got a bad batch and will be reporting it to the manufacturer and FDA. If you also got a bad batch, please report it. You might save another dog's life.

Need other flavors for perfect weight other than chicken
