Good water fountain

I was gifted this water fountain and do overall like it. Assembly was fairly easy, however it wanted the motor to be disassembled and cleaned. I did not have confidence in myself doing that so I washed it whole.

The Viva 64 oz Pet Fountain arrived, and I set it up – it was simple to do. Wash it well before you set it up, as directed in the instructions. Our cats were uncertain of what it was initially, avoiding it when entering the kitchen. Our dog (about 40lbs) was uncertain of it but found the reservoir a bit shallow. After about a week and half of use, the cats will check it out but not really use it, preferring our other fountain. The dog will use it for quick drinks but nothing more. I found the blue light helpful, especially at night so that we did not kick it. I liked that the light turned red when the water was low. It seems to need cleaning weekly so be aware of that if you are not a regular cleaner.

Great product for smaller size cats and dogs

The reason why I'm only starting it and not giving it five stars in the only four star rating is because it's a great product but my little dog was more afraid of it and unfortunately my big dog loved it . Unfortunately it is made for smaller size and not him and he drinks the entire thing in one drink. And the only thing is that the lid like to pop off on me when I went to move it or picked it up it didn't stay on it all the way,. But I definitely like the light indicator letting me know when it was out of water My only complaint is that for this product and his brand that there should be an option for a larger size one I did not see that on the website just now that you do not get to choose a bigger one which is a sad day because I would have gotten a bigger one because of my size dog but if you have small animals this is definitely one that they would like and you would definitely have an easy time to keep up. The only thing is that I am thinking you would have to buy replacement filters and I don't know how much those would cost That's the only thing that I would do is maybe change it to a washable filter and that you can reuse it because the cost of having to buy any filters is not going to be cost efficient for a while households but I would highly recommended if you have smaller dogs and cats if you don't mind having to maintain it and buy filters but it is a great product other than that and I would highly recommend it

[Rewarded Review] Surprised it was really good

So far so good, it works great and stays clean. I've tried fountains in the past and always found they got slimy and moldy seeming after just a couple days. This product is really nice so far. It's mostly l plastic but has a metal top where the water bubbles up and then sits in. Maybe that and the filter help keep it fresh. The power cord is nice and long so I had options for where I wanted to put it. It's easy to assemble and disassemble. I'm still skeptical and waiting for the slime but I've been using it for over a week and nothing yet (I have changed the water just I would with a regular bowl). I don't think the fountain has encouraged any of my cats to drink more but they were certainly intrigued by it when no first turned it on. As far as fountains go, I would definitely recommend it. I like it much much better than the ones I've tried in the past

Petsafe fountain

This water fountain is great! Very easy to set up, has water filters and continues to run fresh water constantly. I took a pic to show you the blue light, when water runs low, this light will turn red. Red light means time to add fresh water. I have been using this fountain for about 1 months now and it only glowed red once, after about 2 weeks. It should be happening anyway now, infact I may just refill it today and have it all ready again. So, in all reality, you only have. To change you cats/ dogs water about every two weeks instead of 1 to 2 times a day! To me, this is great!

[Rewarded Review] Wonderful Fountain for Small Pups and Cats

The PetSafe Viva 64oz Pet Fountain is excellent for our 3 small dogs and large cat. We have another fountain in another room upstairs that we don’t like nearly as much as this one. We like the look and size of it, ease of use, lack of mess, and the fact all of the fur babies use it.

[Rewarded Review] I like it, cat doesn't

I have a cat who will only drink running water (and will make the water move all over the floor if it's in a bowl 🙄) so I thought I would give this fountain a try! I currently use a stainless steel AONBOY brand fountain with a flower spout and everyone seems to like it. I'll be comparing it to my current one.

haven't used it yet. 3 stars are because you have to disassemble the motor, clean it and put it back together before using this fountain. seriously? who wants to do that? not me. also it's corded and i hate when manufacturers hide that fact in their product photos. spend a little more and buy a chargeable fountain with no need to plug it in (oh, and as part of the set-up instructions you also have to run the electrical cord thru the product after you've disassembled and reassembled the motor). lastly it has 2 filters with recommendations to replace them every couple of months and the refill filters are pricey. it's a hard pass for me on this whole thing.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

I received this product free to try and then review! When i received it i immediately opened it up and looked at the instructions!! I washed it and got it ready to put together!! I was extremely easy to put together didnt really have to read the directions! But the directions were really easy to follow and thurough! I got it plugged in and showed my dog that it was here water! At first she was scared of the waterfall and the fact the water was moving but after about a day she was drinking like crazy!! I absolutely love it! Its quite! I dont have to fill it everyday and its healthier!! I couldnt ask for anything more!!! Id definitely recommend!!!

Good function but too complicated

It is necessary to clean pet fountains. No way around it! I don't care if there is a filter, you're gonna clean fountains often for safety. And so for that reason, keeping the number of parts to a minimum is important. This one has 11 individual parts. It's like a puzzle. Also is preferable to have a fountain that doesn't require new parts on a regular basis. It's more like "renting" the fountain at that point. The function as a fountain is very good, but unfortunately it's over-engineered to the point of inconvenience in terms of maintenance.

[Rewarded Review] Cool pet fountain!

This pet fountain is really cool if you are looking to buy one. It’s very durable and easy to clean. It’s not very loud but you can hear it since it is a fountain. You can fit a lot of water in it since it’s a 140 oz. I have a dachshund terrier mix and for some reason she’s scared of it. I had to wait to complete this review for a while but she refuses to use it. She isn’t a big fan of water unless it’s sitting down on the ground in a small bowl so I’m hoping she’ll eventually change her mind but if your dog isn’t afraid of water.. they should like it! What’s really cool is it has a led light as seen in the picture that it will change different colors when it starts getting low. Very cool dog fountain!

The pups were all shy to use it at first, but now they prefer it! I can almost swear my shih tzu has been drinking more water than usual after replacing their water bowl with this little fountain. I love how easy it was to set up, as well as how easy it is to swap out the old water and give it a rinse at the sink. The removable filters are fairly cheap and effective. My only issue would be that it would be nice if the blue light indicating it's on could be dimmed a bit, it can be quite strong and we can see the glow on the walls from the bedroom. Overall though, this has been super nice. It's also really quiet! Just a subtle tinkling sound if you get really close to it. I'm very pleased and my dogs are too. My little Chihuahua hasn't been choking up as much, most likely because this fountain is higher off the ground, not requiring her to dip her head too low, and thus causing the post-sip chokes she used to routinely have.
