Best tub for the money
I’ve bought and installed this tub 20-30 times for my remodeling company. Always turns out great.
No drain or overflow kit included
We ordered this Jacuzzi tub and thought all that we would need after arrival is a faucet. Wrong. The tub did not come with a drain or overflow kit. The drain is on back order and our contractor was told it would be two or three months for delivery.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful tub
This is a beautiful tub! I'd buy it again. Great design, style, & price
information is horrible
This is a horrible install. I called jacuzzi before this job started to figure out what drain was needed. I was told by Martin that LH33827 / LH33xxx would work. This part does not allow the instert to fit into the outer shell. I called jacuzzi and they kept saying it works but first hand experience says different. After asking if there is any other parts listed that are compatible the lady informed me that there are 3 parts. PG35, LH33, and HP55. After looking I relize that the only part that will absolutely 100% fit perfectly is PG35. The lady is going to be overnight the parts needed.
Can’t stop water leaking when tub drains
My installer has had a nightmare with this tub with it leaking. Taking it out, putting it back, and over and over again trying to find leak. It’s upstairs so it has stained ceiling downstairs. He cut a hole in my ceiling to find leak from below. He thought pea trap had a crack. Thought he had it fixed. Ran water and no leaks he said for 40 mins. Guess he didn’t fill tub and try it. Repaired ceiling. Wife got in tub to try it couple days later and leaked again. Tore ceiling out again and thought he had it fixed again. He left hole in ceiling till she used it again. Tonight when water drained, waterfall in floor again on my new hardwood floor. It appears that water is over flowing out of connection where you set tub down in to drain fitting. We are at wits end. I don’t know if a part is missing to seal connection. But this is a costly and painful decision, going with this tub
This one’s going down in the books
I love the look and its auite comfotable for my 5’4” frame, but my contractor said, “This one’s going in thebooks as one of the most difficult to install.” He got it done though :)
So cheap
Plumber and I (general contractor) agree that this was the cheapest feeling tub that we have installed in a home. I would never purchase this brand
[Rewarded Review] Pleased with Piccolo so far
Selected Piccolo tub based on its pleasant curved lines (higher at back) and short, but suitable length for a small bathroom. Arrived at store promptly on or before expected delivery time. As pictured. Not yet installed; awaiting tile floor. (*Note that the drain is centered at the foot end, though description calls it a right-hand drain & the shipping box or papers said left-hand drain.)
[Rewarded Review] A nice looking tub
I am giving this tub 5 stars based on appearance. It’s not installed yet and you cannot speak to anything else.
Disappointed
I was quite disappointed with the tub and had to remove it after it was installed. I selected this tub after a lot of research because I wanted a heavy tub to prevent flexing when the tub was in use. At the time of purchase, the specification sheet stated the tub weighed 165 lbs. Now the specification sheet indicated 130 lbs. Because of the the two piece design of the tub, it turned out to be too flimsy. After it was installed, I could feel the tub flexing on entry (with socks on). The tub could be easily rocked even when installed. I had the tub removed and purchased another (different brand) whose weight was much heavier and accurate. Even now, the specification sheet has an entry on the "Total Weight" line of 745 lbs with no indication to what that refers. I'm still not convinced that each section weighs 65 lbs, though I had no way of weighing the tub. I had little trouble carrying my end of the tub (supposedly 65 lbs) down a driveway.
issue with the overflow valve
Despite keeping the overflow valve open, the tub still got overfilled.
Beautiful Tub
This tub has a beautiful shiny surface. It fits in small spaces. It's in 2 pieces which makes it easy to move, a shell and top layer. Shipping was fast. All freestanding tubs are hard to install. Plumber had to pull up a large area of the floor to install, 2nd floor so not too bad (and we were replacing tile). He used flexible water lines for the faucets. If you are on a first floor, they have to dig up some of the foundation.
Petite Masterpiece
I looked all over for a nice small freestanding Bath. This one is just under 5 foot, so it was perfect for my small bathroom. Comes with the faucet too, which looks amazing. My plumber said the install was a breeze. I would definitely go with Jacuzzi again. Definitely the focal point of my bathroom
