Omie hot and cold bento box

I like the way this Omie bento style box has a removable seal to enable thorough cleaning. I bought this lunch box for the thermos which is also removable, thus enabling more food to be included in the box. The pink berry colour was really appreciated by the 8 year old user. While this box is expensive, I expect it to last and be more adaptable than the cheaper options.

I love these lunchboxes!! I got one for my older daughter over 2 years ago, it’s still like new. So I bought another one for my younger daughter too. It’s a bit pricey compared to others but it’s so worth it. I love that it keeps their food warm %26 you can also not use the thermos %26 put cold foods instead.

Perfect for my kids

Love this Omie box. Have my daughters for 2 years now going onto 3. Just gotta be careful with the rubber seal, if not cleaned and dried properly, it could get moldy. But I just ordered a new seal for my daughter so she can continue using her omie box this year. This will be my son’s first year with it. Never has leaked and thanks to the thermos I can send warm food like Mac and cheese or pasta for lunch.

i absolutely love this lunch box. I've owned plenty of bento boxes, but this ones my favorite so far. The price, however, not so much. very unaffordable for most families, especially those with multiple children. they could definitely work on better pricing. I would have gotten all the boys colorsif they weren't so expensive. Other than that, these boxes are just the ticket.

OmieBox vs Bentgo

Ok, I bought this but it wasn’t going to come in fast enough for my kindergartner. So I got this a Bentgo instead, and it does the same purpose for half the price! However the biggest flex is the no spill. I made the same lunch for my two kids and one did way better than the other, can you guess? The Omni spilt in my son’s lunchbox, but my daughters stayed nice and clean. The strawberry and blueberry jam was leaking out the OmieBox although it was “tightly sealed” so this purchase was a buss when I could have saved money. Downside for both is just my preference, it’s a bit heavy for a kindergartner.

OmieBox - Purple Plum

I think the functionality of this box is pretty good but the materials let it down, particularly the seal to stop it leaking, it really smells of chemicals/glue/plasticisers. I'm not sure if this is phathalete free, no claims on that. But whatever, given the chemical smell I don't want that leaching into my 4 years olds food. This kind of seal might be acceptable for windows or cars but not really to eat your food on. So I'm going to need to send this back unfortunately, especially at this price point. If you're not picky about health, it's an otherwise great box and would have been great I think. Daughter liked it.

OmieBox - Purple Plum

Purchased for my 4 year old for nursery . Can’t praise this lunch box enough keeps food hot or cold all day easy to open even for my 4year old . Also I received the best customer service as I originally ordered the pink by mistake so before it was shipped I emailed customer service to see if they could change to the purple one before it was shipped received a quick reply from lovely lady called Katie who changed the order for me she was so helpful . Will definitely be purchasing again .

OmieBox - Blue Sky

Absolutly love this lunchbox- after much research would highly recommend! The thermos section keeps food warm till lunchtime (and beyond!) just make sure to fill it with boiling water first to pre-warm it before placing food inside. The sections are generous enough for lunch and snacks for small children or a proper lunch for older kids/teens. My 3 year old son has been able to independantly use his lunch box without issue and being able to section foods away from eachother using the dividers and pots really helps with his food aversions.

For the price unfortunately the quality isn’t there

Mostly Good! Expensive but lacking some features

This lunchbox is well made and my two year old can open it herself with a little practice. My one issue is that the water-tight rubber seal is removable - I like this because you can clean it so well, but my child removes it all the time and that can be frustrating. The colours are fun, and the additional storage containers you can buy are helpful. The thermos works well. It would be good if there was additional storage to fit cutlery inside the lunchbox without it having to be pushed into food and become dirty. It would also be good if this lunchbox had some form of overall insulation without relying on buying an extra insulated case. Especially because it's advertised as being 'insulated', it is not - the only insulation is the thermos container. This lunchbox will Not keep anything cool.

Best lunch box

I have finally found the best lunch box! Ticks so many boxes and the little add on containers are perfect to add a dipping sauce in the lunch box. Great for a variety of lunches hot or cold or sandwiches. Generous in size and is more than sufficient in size for my 9 year old and 6 year old boys. The Cuttlery is really good too. Doesn’t get lost like my previous Cuttlery as it is attached to the lunch box.

It costs how much for this???

My daughter asked me to buy this for my grandson…. This has to be some kind of popular trend, like the new Stanley tumbler, or how the Yeti became popular years ago. A bunch of young moms wanting to keep up with the Jones’s…… Seriously overpriced!!!! Manufacturing costs can’t be more 2-3 dollars each, and selling for 40-50…. What a joke! Don’t believe the reviews that say this is great, it’s worth the money… I ordered 3 different ones as well. There was one I got on clearance for $6, regular 18, that beat them all.

Favourite lunch box so far

This lunch box is awesome. It feels so solid at the hinge and clasp especially. I love that the thermos is built in and can be removed for extra space when hot foods aren’t packed. The colours are great too. My only fault so far is that the thermos lid is difficult to screw on straight and that you need to remove the lunch box seal each time for cleaning.

This is a pretty great lunchbox and works well for all the compartments. I love the hot dish storage. However The rubber liner to make it spill proof was too big so we had to cut it to size…? I don’t understand why it was bigger than the box maybe we got a defective part? So anyway I’ll have to buy that part since my toddler lost it in her classroom:/ hope the next one is to size so it’s more likely to stay on. Still love the ease of cleaning and organizing it though.

Starting the School Year Off Right

My son is starting kindergarten and he is sooo excited to know he will be able to have some hot food items in his lunchbox-thanks to OmieBox! The lunch box is sturdy and will be able to withstand any and all obstacles it is posed with from getting on the bus, to lunch itself, and getting back home. My son loves the silverware holder that you make that simply attaches to the OmieBox. Great thinking! Also, being given the opportunity to receive personalized stickers with my child's name on them was huge! The creators of OmieBox care about their customers and go one step further to connect with customers after the initial purchase. My son is super proud to carry his OmieBox out the door each morning-thank you!

Beautiful quality

We love the Omio lunch box. The only thing is that my daughter managed somehow to screw the lid on the little thermos soup flask crookedly, and we are totally unable to un-screw it. It’s very frustrating. If we twist it too hard it will break off the handle; we tried heating up the container thinking the expanding metal or softening plastic might allow us to open the lid, but the whole container gets too hot to handle! So basically if your school-aged child screws the lid on unevenly (let’s face it, we all do this ourselves sometimes), then scratch the thermos flask function from the lunchbox. Apart from that, the box seals nicely, is a great size, lovely colours and is fun for my daughter to pack her own lunch into.

Worth the Wait!

I’ve been tossing up whether to purchase this lunchbox for a while. Is it worth the hype and price tag? I came up with more positives than negatives. It comes in awesome colours, the size is perfect for most ages and the thermos is a real winner. Definitely keeps food warm! I also liked that it came with a really good seal so I knew it was going to keep liquids inside the box and not leaking in a school bag. The handles are also really solid and easy for little hands to open. I also bought the fork and spoon that is easy to attach and use and comes in a matching colour scheme. All in all it was worth the wait and I’m glad I made the purchase.

Holygrail Lunchbox!

Can’t believe i waited this long to purchase it. It is on pricier side but considering on what you get it is worth it! My kid loves hot lunches and love the little thermos that fits inside the box. It is much better quality compared to the similar one from amazon . Love that it has a handle too so she could just carry it to the classroom and put it in her lunch bin which makes her morning routine so much smoother. No lunchbox is perfect but this one is pretty close. Thank you Omie!
