Bent and Missing

Fire box was fine. The canopy shield was bent and the stand off clips that attach the fire box to the surround were all missing. Trying to get the parts and a new canopy.

I haven't had it put in yet, because no one locally will service a fireplace they didn't install, so I'm waiting for someone to come all the way from Harrison next week. The Pleasant Hearth company is nearly impossible to to contact, and when you are able to talk to someone, they can't help you. I will never deal with Pleasant Hearth again.

Wouldn't Light

Pleasant Hearth Customer service is TERRIBLE. My main burner would not ignite. I contacted them and they said to blow compressed air or try to vacuum it out. I did all that and it still wouldn't work. Per the manual it said to contact the gas supplier if it still didn't work because it could be low fuel pressure. They sent a tech and he was able to determine that a wire was missing that triggered the millivolt to allow gas to the burner. The service was $100 that I had to eat.

Received as expected. Overall quality of unit is good. Was expecting to receive mount brackets that were shown in the installation manual but they were not included. More than just a DIY for some. If planning to use optional fan, this is NOT the unit you want.
