On balance, I'm very happy with this screen. It looks great and fits well in my fireplace. I did remove the back "legs" (contrary to the manufacturer's advice) so that the screen would fit snugly against the firebox. It seems stable enough and looks much better. Two complaints, however: (1) one of the longer bolts was missing from the hardware package. I called the number for missing parts and was told to go find a similar bolt at a hardware store. Less than helpful. (2) The knobs that open the doors become really hot when the fire is going and are so small they are difficult to grab while wearing fire gloves. I'm going to need to find more flexible gloves. Still, if the knobs had been made larger or of a non-conducting material, this problem could have been avoided. So, good overall but not without issues.

A quality product. I ordered different styles for comparison and fit. This one was the clear winner. Fits flat against the brick. I had some concerns about the color being gray but it is black as desired.

Looks beautiful and can either be used with 4 mounting feet to stand alone or only the two main ones to lean right up against a fireplace. I had thought the doors were glass but they are high quality mesh. This is ok though as I have a gas log and you are supposed to keep doors open if they are glass. The mesh is fine enough it will still trap wasp in the summer as well.

Looks fabulous and the doors are very helpful so I don't burn my hands moving the thing to put more wood in or stoke the fire.

Nice frame with missing crucial parts

I love this screen and it's perfect for my fireplace. I gave it only 2 stars because one of the black bolts was missing, leaving one side brace to pivot because there is only one bolt to secure it to the screen frame. I called the manufacturer number and requested a replacement bolt the same day I received the screen. The customer service rep looked up the part and said it was no longer available. Apparently, it will not be available anytime in the future either. Very disappointing as I must try to find the correct size bolt and, as it shows in the front, paint it black like the screen frame. Big time consuming hassle!

Great Fireplace Screen

We love this fireplace screen. Its freestanding & i don't have to worry about the kiddos getting into the fire. Its also not easy for our 2 year old grandson to pull over onto himself.

They sent out a used item. I can’t believe this from Home Depot. I am very disappointed. I really did not expect this from my go to store. Maybe it’s time to make a switch

Simple but Elegant

Product is well made, lightweight but sturdy. Fire can be easily seen through closed screen doors, but if you want doors to be open (such as with an electric firelog) there is no way to hold them. Would be nice for manufacturer to put a convenient hold-open bar at the top.
