Let's hope that this one works longer than our previous one! Nice looking, easy to use Lionel train set with the typical issues of the Ready-to-Play train sets: the trains have trouble staying on the tracks; we typically only use the locomotive as the engine isn't very powerful and seems to struggle when all the cars are attached; it eats up a lot of batteries. But my son loves it so what can you do?

Polar Express Train

This is the cutest train BUT!! It is poorly made. Will not stay on the track. If the rails were designed better it would be perfect. You will spend most of your time putting it back on the track when it derails.if you can keep it going it’s a great train. My son loves it.

Have a 1 1/2 year old, so anything to stimulate him he enjoys or tries to break. With this train set however, it just stimulates him as he watches it nonstop. It’s perfect for us and he enjoys it, so we enjoy it. Assembly wasn’t daunting or too hard, there aren’t a million pieces or anything, so I’d highly recommend this to spice up your Christmas decor for sure!

Our entire family is so happy with our new Polar Express Freight Train set. It was very easy to set up and took less than 30 minutes. It comes with a remote control. I love that this is also a “smart” train because you download a free Lionel App and run the train from your phone. Our family loves the Polar Express and the train set is the perfect size for under our Christmas Tree. The track fully attached measures 50” x 73”. The set comes with 1 locomotive, 4 train cars, 1 box car and a caboose! The set also comes with track pieces 24 curved and 8 straight. The train plays sounds including snippets from the Polar Express movie, bells and whistles. The train also has a headlight that lights up. The Lionel Polar Express Freight train is made very well and will last for generations to come. Our family highly recommends!

This is a great train set! It was so easy to set up and the kids had a blast playing with it. Even grandpa couldn't get enough! My 5 and 10 year olds both really enjoyed it and can't wait to get it back out for Christmas! I would absolutely recommend this train set! It'd make a nice gift for the upcoming holidays!

This is a beautiful set up and much more intricate than I expected. It will be lovely around my tree this year and my granddaughter and 2 grandsons are going to be beyond excited. Be prepared to use some batteries but set up way super easy and in the end, sooooo worth it. Highly recommend

I wanted to up up a train for our family this holiday season. I picked the Polar Express as we have read this book for years. The train is easy to use and put together. It's a lot of plastic, and I'm hoping it holds up well. Right now we are very pleased with it.

I got this Lionel polar express train set for our Christmas tree. We absolutely love it. Has beautiful art work on the train, makes sounds and has a light that lights up. Easy to assemble and take down. The train runs smoothly on the tracks. The train also comes with a remote to be able to control the train. Very good quality. I'm very pleased with this train set and highly recommend.

The Lionel Polar Express train set is easy to set up. The tracks just pop together and make an oval. Several batteries are needed and are not included. It is nice that it has a remote to control the train moving forward and backwards and several sounds. Nice train set for a young person.
