Black Peels Off

I installed this Shower Strainer Grid 2 months ago and all of the black paint is starting to peel revealing the chrome color beneath. Very disappointed in the quality of the product and the return period was very short.

Similar to other reviews - paint

I was on the fence with spray painting my existing stainless-steel cover or buying a new black one. After researching many different black covers, paint performance came up in a lot of reviews across the board. At the price for this cover, I figured I would try knowing what could happen. After a couple months, the paint near one of the screw holes did come off a little. Did not matter much because the black screws that came with the cover diameter were too small, so I had to use the old stainless screws. Kind of worked out because the heads of the stainless screws look like additional "holes" at a quick glance. Kept the old drain cover. This will allow me to have one ready to use temporarily if I need to re-paint the black one.

Replaced to match other matte black in shower. I give it 3 stars because it’s such a thin layer of paint on it. Screws are different size than ones that were sent. Relatively easy fix. Screws stripped off paint when screwing in. Picked up proper rust oleum paint. Works great now. Get what you pay for I guess. But I would purchase a small thing of paint with this or just paint what you had unless it’s broken.
