good size and mechanism to operate

I've actually had this item for 6 years now. use everyday, looks brand new, lid function works perfect, i like that this contents are hidden out of sight with the lid, very small, fits perfect in tight spaces, the inner plastic line container removes and has a handle for easy disposal. Highly recommend this little gem.

makes loud noise when lid closes

good looking wastebasket but cheap construction. when you release the foot pedal, the lid does not drop gently; there's a loud sharp metal-on-metal sound.

Loud sharp noise when lid slams down, no easy closure

nice looking product but the lid slams down and makes a sharp noise. only alternative is to reach down and gently close by hand.
