Badly machined part

We purchased and installed one of these faucets. During trim installation we discovered that the extension pieces that form the attachment for the handles were not machined correctly and would not fit onto the rough in valves. We had to do a work around to make the whole thing go together because Build.com couldn't obtain correct replacement parts from Kingston Brass. Even though the faucet works as expected we had hours in figuring out what to do to securely mount the handles. We couldn't just "change faucets" because this is inside the wall, covered by drywall and a slab of quartz. Ironically the entire inventory at Kingston is made the same way but they are still selling the product.
