Engineering Defect

I was very disappointed in the way this towel ring was engineered. There is no way to adjust how tightly it will fit against the wall once it is initially installed. I ask Build.com to reimburse me for this purchase and to reconsider handling it until its odd clamp down installation mechanism is re-engineered by the manufacturer. After a month on my wall, it is now in the trash. Huge waste for an expensive towel ring.

a duty to warn, terrible design

This is a terrible design. It is easy to install, but impossible to adjust or remove without tearing the screws and anchors loose from the sheetrock. To mount, it clicks in place but there is no way to remove it. Say for instance you ever want to change your bathroom decor, you are locked in. Say for example, as was in my case, the anchors supplied with it were coming loose from the wall. There was no way to repair without yanking the thing from the wall. I have a duty to warn folks not to buy this product. We expected high quality and were willing to pay the high price for the Hansgrohe product line. But I'm disgusted, particularly after having to spend my afternoon driving to and from home depot for a replacement. This product and other Hansgrohe products using the same mounting system should not be sold.

This was our 4th Hansgrohe towel ring, and they are all great for where and how we use them. I personally installed the ring, and it was a very easy task. Required only a power drill, a medium sized Phillips screwdriver, and a small diameter metal rod-like implement (I used a very small screwdriver, but I could also have used a small allen wrench).

Not for me. I bought all the accessories to match my beautiful Hansgrohe shower, bath and sink faucets but I sent these back. They are very well made but the RING is huge. I would have had to install this at least 6 inches higher than it should be installed, with the wall fitting almost above my eye level.. I wanted something to complement the room, not completely overwhelm it. Like I said - not for me.

Hansgrohe means quality and this fixture does just that. We had a cheaper one in the bathroom, but upon our remodel, we purchased a new one to match the fixtures. This is a nice rubbed bronze color and works great. Easy to install.
