We’ve had old style claw foot tubs for more than 40 years. We had shower surround curtain bars with faucets all that time, after the original faucets wore out and were not repairable, we have struggled to find decent replacements. FINALLY, this one actually works! We will definitely be buying another one soon...

This does not fit a normal shower head and could not find any type of adapter. Ended up returning. It also seemed really cheaply made for the price.

Replaced an old leaky one

My old Barclay faucet/spout was leaking, so I bought this to replace it. It fit perfectly, and the Home Depot price on the chrome-finish one was inexplicably MUCH less than anywhere else. But be aware that if you want to also replace the compression "cone washers" where it connects to the supply lines, they're hard to find. Neither HD nor my local hardware store had them; I had to go to a plumbing supply store. (Same with the compression washers at the bottom of the supply lines.)

Non standard fittings will give you a headache

As I have now found out, faucets for claw foot, cast iron tubs need special size fittings to install and they DON'T sell these items at your local HD. This faucet for example has 7/8" OD threads (3/4" is the ID). The "Universal" quick click hose listed as an option will not help you since it does not have a 7/8" end. I ended up having to use a brass reducer to 1/2", and them plumbing the rest in copper. Not quite what I had in mind when I purchased the faucet since I had to plumb all the way down to the supply line.
