Disappointed

I am not sure if I got a defective one but, the round thing on one of the ends keeps coming off and the color of the rod has turned from brushed nickel to yellow. This was a very expensive shower rod.

DISAPPOINTED

Very difficult to mount. If going into sheetrock, it may not be secure. The one big problem is the escutcheon plates on both ends are poorly designed. They do not secure - the press on system is poorly designed and does not work. Many times simply moving the shower curtain will cause them to come loose. Very unlike Kohler to have such a poor design.

Not great installation. Would not recommend.

Difficult installation. There are other reviews out there that also note this issue. The brackets are already to this curved bar. So, the convex side of the bar gets in the way of screwing the bracket screw into the wall. I was eventually able to do it - I attached the two screws on one bracket into the wall first, as I was able to rotate the bar out of the way. Then I attached the second bracket by screwing in the more posterior screw first (the one on the convex side of the bar). Then I screwed in the last one ont he concave side, where the bar was totally in my way. I had to take a really long thin screwdriver, and was able to get work around the bar, and get the whole thing in by hand. KOHLER, you need a redesign: attach brackets to wall first, then attach bar to brackets. C’mon! Also the escutcheons were a pain too. And what if I want to ever take the bar down? Once the escutcheons are on, it’s basically permanent.

Searched and searched for a curtain rod to match our Delta Champagne Bronze shower head. This one is a great match! Very happy with this purchase.

Love it! Super well made and can’t wait to install in my spare bathroom!!! Exactly as I expected.

Great solution for poor quality shower rods

Great, simple and quality solution to fixing poor quality shower rod problems. Contemporary and a great price.

Sub-par Kohler product

The only positive thing I can say is that the bar looks nice. Otherwise? As others have noted, it's difficult to install, especially because each wall plate has a hole that's mostly blocked by the outward bend of the rod, so it's almost impossible to angle a screwdriver correctly. The escutcheons are poorly designed and don't just "snap into place," as the instructions suggest; the hole in one of my escutcheons was off center, which made it impossible to line up correctly, and one of the little clips in the other broke off. The drywall anchors are cheap plastic; two of mine broke so I replaced them all with metal toggle bolts. Finally, the instructions are only minimally helpful. Very disappointing.

The curtain rod is NOT adjustable and I need to return it.

Impossible to return

Spent days trying to get customer service to answer and the website says to call can’t do it online. Beyond frustrated, gave up.

Inaccurate Product description

If you are looking for a TENSION rod, this is NOT that. It is a fixed mount (as in screws in the wall). Thanks Lowes for the annoyance

Perfect!!!

Was looking for a shower curtain rod to finish bathroom update, and was drawn by the ‘clean’ design. The rod arrived quickly, and did not disappoint—would buy again.

I really like this shower curtain rod. It looks elegant but understated. I like how it is slightly curved. The color is lovely. The shower feels a bit bigger but still works great in our small bathroom. Love it! Thanks!

Product not USA made

I have not installed the product yet. My concern is that Kohler advertised this product as made in the USA when it was made in China. I specifically bought this product because it is listed as being made in USA. I talked to Jennifer who, I see, has responded to others on this issue years ago. So Kohler is aware of this and is not correcting the issue. I live 60 miles from Kohler and am sent one from 8000 miles away.

Revise the tools needed for installation!

Beautiful and secure. The installation instructions did not mention you need an offset screwdriver to make installation easier and manageable. Efficient use of time is critical. Once installed, it’s very nice.
