I’m just learning how to sew! Brand new student! This pillow project is a great way to instill confidence in a new student. My teacher had me complete this within an hour! Used a cross stitch project from the 1970’s backed with a sturdy golden cotton fabric and finally turned it into something! Easy peasy!

I am a seamstress, an upholstery worker, and a wreath/floral maker. I love the selections I find at Joann Fabrics and highly recommend their store/products! If you love to sew, this is the place to go for all your supplies from fabric, machines, thread, and sewing supplies. From an upholstery standpoint, they have it all. Different sizes of foam, wide selection of upholstery fabric, cotton batting, and more! From a floral standpoint, they have a nice selection of florals, grapevine wreaths, holiday ribbons, etc. I highly recommend this store for their selection, low prices, and customer service.

A customer asked me to make a memory pillow for their grandmother who recently passed away. They wanted me to incorporate grandmother's favorite snuggle blanket. I cut the blanket to become the back of the pillow, and embroidered the grandmother's name on the front.

I bought the Fairfield basic pillow insert 18”x18” for a library pillow (pillow that has a pocket to store your book) that I wanted to make. I like that the filling was not too stiff or lumpy. The amount of fill was just right. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Very disappointed. These pillow inserts are advertised to be 16" x 16". They actually measure 14" x 14". If is known that I would have purchased the 18" x 18" ones. These are too small for my pillow covers that measure 15" x 15". Very flat.

While I have used Fairfield Poly-fil products for 30 years, I have not had occasion to use them lately. I was concerned that, like so many products these days, they had become inferior or a cheaper version. But I spotted at great fabric that I ‘had to have’ and decided to make similar pillows for my twin granddaughters’ beds. I needed pillow forms and went to Jo-An’s. The Poly-fil 20” x 20” pillow forms were available in the store to inspect. They were the same great quality I had relied on years before. i was very pleased to find that this product was still available and the quality remained consistently high. My granddaughters love their gifts!

We went to Joann’s to buy Halloween fabric but the selection was very limited. BUT, they were having a great sale on Quilters fabric. So, I bought a buggy full of fabric. I make baby blankets for NICU at a local hospital and I make baby quilts for friends and their families. The lady who cut all my fabric was such a sweetheart. I can’t wait to make lots of beautiful quilts with my new fabric.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect Pillow

Love this pillow form! My friend gave me a beautiful hand towel with a picture of a horse on it. It looks just like Scooter, my horse. I was afraid to use it because I didn't want to get it dirty and stained. My daughter suggested I make it into a pillow. I thought it was a great idea and but I needed a smaller pillow form. This 14x14 is perfect. It fits fine and has just the correct amount of fill in it and the fill goes all the way into the corners. Thanks for a great pillow.

I have bought about twenty of these pillow inserts in the past two months and, for the most part, have been very pleased with them. Occasionally I will have to unzip the insert cover and redistribute the filling to make it more even, but usually that is not the case. Once, I did get an insert that seemed to not have enough filling so I added a little stuffing that I had on hand, but again, that is not the normal thing.

These pillow inserts were great. I made some cases with theme based cloth. They slipped in easily and provided the look and feel I wanted to present as a gift. Good stuff!

Great inserts for decorative pillows. I have many of these. Recently bought a 2 pack of 20 inch to make pillows for a gift for a relative out of state. Got them half off. Even without out the discount they are very affordable. I had to purchases a second set and have Joann ship directly to her because the post office wanted a fortune for me to package and mail them. So I made the covers and shipped them and Joann delivered the inserts. She absolutely loves her new pillows.

My husband passed away four years ago. I saved all his levies hoping someday to use them in some way. Well, I found my some way. I have made probably a dozen pillow covers for all different sizes of pillow forms I bought from Joann's. I pieced different pieces together so there are different shades of denim. I used the pockets on some of the fronts and I stitched the Levis leather patched on the pockets

[Rewarded Review] My first time making a quilt and matching pillow.

I made a pocket pillow to go with the small quilt that I made for my granddaughter. She graduates high school this year and will be going to college in the fall. I am new to sewing and quilting. I watched several how to videos. Joann had all the supplies that were needed for my small quilt and matching pillow. The employees were very helpful and answered all of my many questions. I did all the cutting and sewing for the quilt top and the pillow. I took my quilt top to a quilter to finish for me. I don’t have a walking foot yet. That will be next on my list to get from Joann.

[Rewarded Review] Fairfield 14 inch pillow forms

I started a project which is now a licensed nonprofit called Book Pillows of Hope. I have a group of friends in the community and we make book pillows, which are 14 inch pillow forms, covered with children’s fabric, a handle on the top for the child to carry it with, and a pocket on the front where an age-appropriate book is inserted. We are now making and donating 200-225 of these per month to children in the Indianapolis, Indiana community. Our mission is to promote literacy and provide joy to children facing difficult situations. We place these in the local hospitals, police department, foster children sites and elementary schools in the community.

Just OK

This pillow form is very basic. It looks very full at the beginning but once the pillow is used it goes flat and lumpy very quickly. I would not recommend this product for anything but very light use. The value of this product is less than average. If you have to spend money to replace the pillow form then it's not a good value.

Great pillow inserts!! I purchased these to make memory pillows for a friends grandkids that lost their grandpa. They worked perfect and were just the right thickness. A bonus that I didn’t realize when I purchased them, they have a zipper on the cover so you can remove it to wash if needed. Would definitely recommend these to anyone!!

[Rewarded Review] Memory Pillows

My husband of 70 and a half years passed away at the end of last year. I have a number of family members and I decided to make memory pillows with his shirts. So far I have made 13 memory pillows. I was able to buy the pillow forms on sale. I trimmed off the collars and sleeves to make these for grandchildren and great grandchildren. Now I am going to make 4 more with the collars and sleeves still attached for my children and myself.

I bought a 2 pack. I only needed one but the two pack ended up being a better deal than buying one. Not to mention i got 40% off.
