Worked perfectly in a 60" shower. I Wanted an exact fit rod so the shower curtain hooks doesn't get caught on the joint which are found on expandable shower rods.

not chrome?

The actual shower rod, I don't think is Chrome. The mounting hardware is Chrome. I have a lot of chrome in my bathroom and the rod seems like polished stainless. Also , there was a fair amount of polishing compound that was not cleaned off the inside of the tube. I have an idea of what that might be because I used to do machining work. Also the mounting hardware was not deburred and rather sharp be careful.

Perfect for my needs.
