Don't buy this if you plan on using standard sized bulbs. The glass shade won't fit. Big disappointment. You'd think they'd put it in bold on front of the packaging. They didn't. Thumbs down for Hampton Bay products for wasting my money and time... again. I don't know why I'm surprised. Everything else I bought from these jerks has been junk as well. Maybe don't go to Home Depot for lighting.

I've had this light installed for almost two weeks and I love it. It was easy to install (I didn't do it, but a friend of mine did). This light replaced an old, low hanging light that was on a dimmer switch. The box did not mention that the light is dimmable, but the Home Depot website said it was, which is correct. It takes normal light bulbs that you need to purchase separately. And Home Depot has a dizzying amount of lights to choose from depending upon your lighting needs. For me and my intended use, it gives off just the right amount of light.
