This came as pictured and I was pleased about that. My only thoughts are that this is very heavy, which I preferred bc I never worried about it falling over if my kids climbed up on it. But I would definitely get child locks for the door and drawers - they shut heavily and even I have accidentally caught my fingers in them and it hurts SO bad bc the boards are heavy.
Decent change table that is complicated to set up
This change table is good, and fair for the price. Took away one star because it’s so complicated to set up, like makes ikea furniture look like a breeze. Took me and my husband about 3 hours to put together. It’s made of particle board so the quality is okay but not amazing. But again, fair for the price and looks cute.
Nice finished product, frustrating assembly
I will start by saying the finished product is quite nice. However, you need lots of time, patience and a bit of elbow grease to put it together. The parts are not all clearly labeled, the instructions aren’t entirely clear. My husband ended up damaging the top putting it together because he hammered something apparently harder than he should have and it bubbled and cracked on the other side.
Overall the product was as described and feels Ok. Not tremendously high quality. The original one had three damaged parts. 2 of them were dented and one of them was broken. The company sent me the three parts. 1 was good, 1 had the paint chipped but I used it anyway (since the old one was completely broken), and the last one had a dent that was worse than the first one so I used the first one. The instructions were a bit hard to understand and at one point had some parts hanging by one side in a way that they could easily break until you put the other side on.
Loved this table. Instructions were clear and concise. It took us about 3 hours to put together. It's true to size and color and very sturdy. I did switch out the knobs for silver ones. This was a great product, especially for the price and it arrived 4 days earlier than expected!
HORRIBLE!!! The quality is terrible literally falls apart every time I open the drawer ! I want my money back so bad cuz who pays almost 300$ for something and it doesn’t toast at least a year! I can’t function like that im just going to throw it out and buy a new one! I thought Wayfair was quality !
I ordered a 3 drawer dresser and got a two drawer dresser delivered :(
I went to the AFW website and found exactly what we needed for our new nursery. Problem was that when we opened the box and laid out all the pieces we realized that it was only enough for the two drawer dresser! THEY SENT US THE WRONG PRODUCT!! We dug deeper and searched the manufactures website and found the SKU number that AFW had listed on their website for the three drawer was the SKU number for the two drawer dresser. I’ve been in contact with AFW and when They asked me to take a picture of proof of purchase and that it was in fact a two drawer dresser I laid out all the pieces it it wasn’t good enough they wanted us to build it and then take a picture of it before we would need to send it back. A little bass-ackwards if you ask me. So that’s where I’m at with this purchase and not satisfied one bit since it’s not even the product we wanted for the price we paid in the first place. We’re just a few weeks out from the baby coming so don’t have time to reorder and build something else as we have other things to get build and finished. I hope they see this review and make things right for us because they messed up with clear false advertisement. For everyone else out there, DO NOT buy the three drawer because they haven’t fixed the sku # since I last looked on the AFW website.
Disappointed with the quality would not buy again!
This white change table we ordered from south shore at Walmart, is how it it's pictured. However, I was quite disappointed with the quality. Very Very soft particle board and came dented in the box from delivery when we took it out we saw this very visible indentation right at the front top lip of the change table. It took 4 people to build this change table within 3 hours straight. Honestly, would not buy from south shore again and you definitely get what you paid for as instructions were super complicated and material was soft particle board that chips and dents easily and will not last long in my home for sure.
terrible quality
i have many different points to discuss about this product.
Well putting this together wasn't fun. It took me two evenings. The directions were pretty clear, just complicated. You really have to take it slow and careful. The quality of the pieces and parts are good, everything fit well and worked as planned. The cabinet is well made and the paint is high quality compared to other cabinets I've ordered online. The drawers slide well, the door fits good and the final product appears high quality. It is very sturdy. I ordered a basic changing pad and it fits great. I feel confident with using the changing area for the baby because this is not a flimsy cabinet. It should work great for years to come! Highly satisfied.
Do NOT buy!!!
Ugh, where do I even start? Not only did this take 4 hours to build with two people, but there were multiple issues. First of all, this took so long to build because the instructions had only pictures, no words explaining anything. There were parts where it didn't show which screws to use. NONE OF THE HARDWARE WAS LABELED so you just had to match them up with the pictures and hope you were using the right parts. The top of the dresser arrived with dents and marks in it. We put the door on and the bottom hook immediately broke off, leaving it hanging on one hook until that one broke off and the door fell onto my back. The whole thing was an absolute disaster - I have never been so dissatisfied with a product in my life. I would just return it if it wasn't already all put together (well, besides the now missing door). Do yourself a favor and find a different one around the same price, this is absolutely, 100% NOT worth it!
You get what you pay for!
This change table is absolute garbage. I had two babies close together and decided we needed a second change table but didn’t want to break the bank. With all of the storage space this seemed like a great option but I’ve had it for six months and am already looking at a new option. The finish started peeling within the first month, the door constantly falls off (how is that even possible?!) and the back is popping off as well. I have never had such poor quality furniture and, in a nursery, it’s just not safe. Spend the extra money to get something that will last - because this won’t!
This feels very unsafe, especially with a busy 8 month old! All the corners are very sharp, including on the top- I've had to pad all around where the changing pad goes because one wrong move means a split heel or cracked head! Not only are corners sharp, the door to the cabinet was designed poorly, making it fall off continuously. I've had to just put baby locks on the entire thing and I don't open it, making it useless to store things I used often. I wish I had known all this before, but I am a new parent and had no idea how dangerous such products could be...and with it designed FOR a baby, why didn't they round corners?!?
Do Not Buy!!
Within a week of using this changing table it started to fall apart. The door on the right doesn’t even screw into the table, it just sits in pre-drilled holes which stretched out after opening the door a couple of times. First the door fell off on my foot in the middle of the night during a half-awake diaper change. Now it falls off every time I try to open the door. Also, the tracks for the bottom drawer are too wide, so every time I try to open that drawer it slides off the track and gets stuck. This table weighs over 100 pounds so returning it isn’t an option, I’m just out the money. Do yourself a favor and buy a different changing table!
This changing table has a lot of problems! First of all it smells like fresh paint...I opened and assembled it 4 days ago and left the window open and it still smells like fresh paint! It's pretty toxic for the nurses when your newborn is sleeping there!
Very nice!
I love this. Havent actually used it because baby isn't here yet but its nice and sturdy. Its a great height and the changing pad holder thing is a good size. My husband said it was a little difficult to put together but he got in done in less than 3 hours. For some reason I thought the cabinet side had a bar to hang things from but its a shelf. I wish it had a second shelf but it is what it is. Seems sturdy enough to use for years to come! Very pleased with this dresser.
Really cute, but comes in a ton of pieces! If you open the box each piece is slid in like a puzzle! The drawers have a gap at the bottom and the cabinet has a gap at the top. It's even shown in the picture, however it's more noticeable in your home. Everything is pre-drilled so not much you can do about that. You CAN take the changing top off, BUT it will have pre-drilled holes on the top surface. If that doesn't bother you then it's definitely a convertible piece. I did glue the bottom pieces of the drawer as they slid a bit but once glued they are pretty sturdy. The unit as a whole is sturdier than i thought as well. True white in color.
This was way too big for the nursery. It is also pretty difficult to assemble, and not all of the parts seem to fit on exactly right. We ended up with the bottom part and the door a teeny bit off where they should be. That might be user error, but we did spend a lot of time assembling and we are usually pretty good at putting things together well! It's really heavy, so it would not have been worth it to re-box and return. I ended up taking the changing table part off and putting it in my kitchen to serve as a hutch. We have a weird wall close to a bay window that isn't quite deep enough to put cabinets on, and this wound up fitting perfectly and looking like it belongs there. I plan on putting a little bit of putty in the small holes at the top where the changing rails went, and swapping out the handles for ikea knobs that match my kitchen cabinets. No one would ever know it's a changing table by looking at it, and it adds a lot of storage to my kitchen at less than half the cost of an actual kitchen hutch.
oversized changing table with plenty of storage
I just received this table today. My new child will not be here for a few more months but I can already say I love this changing table. It's much higher than a basic changing table and i love the extended length for a little side top to put all the necessities for changing the baby's diaper. No need to search for everything and get it all together every single diaper change. It's all right there already. It did take a couple hours to put together with the help of my husband, but very clear cut and easy to understand directions. It was a good bonding experience for us. I was able to fit all my son's clothes in the drawers, diapers and nursing pillows in the cabinet, and i put cute little baskets on the shelf to organize the bibs, hats, booties, and burp cloths. With living in a two bedroom apartment, where we're sharing our room with the nursery, this is the perfect all in one unit for the storage, dresser, and changing table. The only thing I would warn anyone against is the height. If you're shorter than 5'4", this table might be a little too tall for you. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints about this unit. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. It is a great price for everything you get.
DO NOT BUY! If I could give no stars, I would.
This is the cheapest piece of furniture I have ever owned. It took literally four hours to assemble, the instructions were not clear. The back panel is a flimsy cardboard piece you nail on with itty-bitty nails, and the wood is so porous you cannot get a good area. The swinging door DOES NOT stay in the holes (there is black bracket with notches you hammer into the holes) I finally took it off the hinges, so my daughter could access everything in the shelves which led to countless diaper rash ointment and lotion explosions. The top piece warped, and is now bowed in the middle. Since the back paneling is not sturdy enough, you cannot put anything heavier than a diaper (I would not trust putting a heavier child on top!!!) and the entire piece sways from side to side, and if a child were to hit it, it would for sure fall on them. If I cannot get a refund as it has been over a year, I will pitch a royal fit, and call corporate and the manufactured. Totally disappointed, and I NEVER write reviews.
