Turned green after less than a year of use

I bought this 3 years ago and have been slowly remodeling my bathroom. I finally began using the shower in the Fall of 2023 once I got shower doors installed. I just finished showering and noticed green oxidation on both shower heads. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of this product for the price paid.

I purchased this system in black and it is beautiful in its simplicity. The quality is amazing and the price was the best I’ve found. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Definitely recommend!

Kohler Purist shower system--it's all wet.

For that amount of money, the spray from the hand held should have better options...In addition, the diverter to switch from overhead to hand held, is placed ridiculously high on the shower head......impossible to reach easily. Very disappointed. It looks great, but it not designed well in terms of function.

Incorrect Product & Missing Pieces

Please note this review is not related to the quality of the product. It appears that this product was either returned and then reissued (and it wasn't checked & verified) or someone had swapped out the parts upon delivery to the local store before we picked up the box. When we brought the box home we discovered that it was missing key parts and there was a random sink facet included. This mistake is now delaying our bathroom renovation and causes us to question Lowe's quality control. I would appreciate a call and confirmation of how Lowes plans to fix this mistake.

The item arrived with parts missing and no clear way to contact Kohler for support. Their website looks like you are going direct to Kohler but you are routed to third party vendors.

There is good shower fixtures, and then, there is the next level of quality and design. The Kohler Purist Essentials shower system is at the pinnacle of perfection. The system includes a wall mount adjustable height hand sprayer, inline shower head diverter, large fixed shower head and main shower valve trim (temp control value not included in this package) is nothing short of perfection! All the components are made of high quality materials including a flawless chrome finish. Each shower head (fixed or hand) has multiple spray settings. Everything from the packaging, instructions and overall look and feel of Purist shower system screams quality. I couldn't be more pleased with this shower system.

This is probably the best shower head set that I have ever owned. Quality is seen and felt from the start, as all parts are real metal and polished chrome. Every piece is carefully packed and wrapped up to prevent damage in shipping. I found it easiest to lay out all the parts on a table and see the bigger picture of how it all goes together. Be sure you are comfortable with moderately complex plumbing projects before installing this one. I had to modify mine since our shower did not have room for the mounting bar. I turned it horizontal and put it above the shower, which worked out great to keep the room in the shower, and still have a nicely functional shower wand.

Elegant shower package by Kohler with sidebar and hand shower. Assembly is pretty straight forward using the included instructions, especially if you are just replacing your previous fixtures. Both the shower head and handheld shower have multi-function spray settings: full coverage, pulsating massage, or silk spray. The handshower is easy to grip and is appropriately balanced for comfortable use. Additionally, this shower fixture includes the "Rite-Temp" pressure-balancing valve which helps to maintain the correct/desired water temperature during pressure fluctuations. Highly recommend!

What a gorgeous shower! And the choice between handheld and stationary is a wonderful thing. Although they won't both work at the same time, still the choices are so varied that it doesn't matter. The handheld moves up and down the rod, and has a lovely spray shower. The stationary shower head has 3 choices and of course swivels. The installation was a bit tricky -- and should have included wall anchors. Luckily my husband can install just about anything. If you aren't super handy and don't have all the tools a guy could ever want, you might need to have this beauty installed for you. I would have added more photos of the shower working but they would not upload.

Kohler did an awesome job designing and manufacturing this Purist Essentials 3-Spray Patterns with 2.5 GPM 5.5 in. Wall Mount Dual Shower Heads in Polished Chrome. The chrome plating is very thick and consistent all across without any imperfections or thin spots where cracks can develop in the future. This was done with hexavalent chrome plating process which is the most expensive alternative but providing the top quality plating.
