Decent mattress great for a spare room. The height of the mattress is not large so will need box spring .. even with box spring it is low, but good enough!

If You Can Get It Home…

First off, very comfy! The “cooling gel foam” doesn’t seem to be doing much cooling (I live in Oregon and have no AC), but it’s certainly not hurting either.The only major downside to this mattress is that the cardboard that the box is made of is simply not sturdy enough to survive transporting the mattress. First the handle holes ripped almost immediately. Next, the box itself started falling apart at the seams as we carried it from the car to the top of the stairs. This thing is seriously HEAVY! I’d recommend moving it with at least two people.Once the mattress is in place at home, cutting it open and letting it stretch out is simple and fun to watch.

Giving my pillow head

I travel a lot for work. I move around the US usually twice a year. For the past 3 years, I have been sleeping on a very comfortable blow up mattress with memory foam topper. I had no complaints. My girlfriend came in to town for a week to come see me and let me see my dog. The first night, she complained about her not being able to sleep, as I was “sawing logs” next to her. So the next day we went to Walmart and bought the Serta 10” memory/cooling mattress. I didn’t realize how much of a difference it would make but OMG!!! I sleep completely through the night! Now I just need a bed frame to put it on 🤣. I’m content, but also 36 and it’s getting harder to pick myself up off the floor 🤣. 10/10 would recommend!

Immediate relief - continuous support

Quality sleep is essential for a well lived life. Sleep health is an avid pursuit of mine, both to create the most optimized environment and aid chronic pain.I have had this mattress for a few months now. Before, I was sleeping on a very old spring mattress. I tried to fix my sleep problems with various pillow configurations, different alarm settings, and new curtains. I was waking up multiple times a night and would get out of bed sore and grumpy. The springs would dig into my hips and back, and every movement resulted in loud creaking from old metal.The first night I slept on my Serta, I didn’t wake up once. It was the first night in months. I’ve felt more energized, and actually excited to sleep. This mattress has been as sturdy and supportive as it was the first night. Great matress for semi truck at an affordable price!

I was a little skeptical just with the whole bed in a box situation. I also didn't believe that you could get a decent mattress for what I paid for this one at Walmart. I am pleasantly surprised not only did I save roughly $500 versus the competing semi truck mattress, I was able to pick this one up same day, get it into my truck, and get back on the road. Matress inflated immediately upon opening and lays perfectly flat. I'm very satisfied.

Just opened

I read many reviews where people complained about their box or mattress being damaged.Well, I just opened mine and everything looks great so far! With all the wrapping on the mattress, I don't see how a person's mattress was damaged! It was a work out just getting inside the box, getting the mattress out, and rolled out from the brown paper!I came here to read directions/instructions on what to do next. I want to make sure I open the mattress from the clear seal the PROPER way!! So if it's not a fit for me or doesn't work properly, I know I'm not to blame!I am very excited to get this journey of a great night's sleep underway!! I just hope I have a great experience and don't encounter problems like some of the reviews I've read!

Serta 10" mattress

Just received, haven't slept on it yet, waiting for it to settle 1-2 days as required. It inflated to size/height quicker than expected and looks great. Can't wait to try it out. No issue using Walmart delivery. Setup was quick and easy.It comes wrapped very well. Love the feel of the gel foam topper! Will update my review after using it for at least 2 weeks to get a good feel of everything.

Decent Purchase!

I was pleased with the packaging and how well wrapped the product was. I love that opening the box was probably the most difficult part of the entire process. Once the roll was stretched out to a long rectangle, I noticed through the plastic that the zipper of the mattress protector had already split open within the vacuum sealed product, that was really frustrating. The mattress did inflate rather quickly. Please be aware it’s extremely soft and cloud-like; it feels like you’re lying down on top of quick sand and just sinking in. Depending on the person, that could be good or bad. Overall, besides the mattress protector and the unanticipated extra softness, I’m content with what my $300 bought me and I’m curious to see how long it lasts.

Comfortable and affordable

I just recently bought a camper, the mattress in it is terrible.I am currentlyivimg in it for work. My wife mentioned this mattress and I decided to buy itI'm glad I didn't go cheaper. This thing is comfortable and quite frankly. Cheap compared to other mattresses. Affordable and comfortablebest bang for your buckMy dog loves it too.

Lol I was 18 last year when I moved out. I was on a budget when me and my mom were shopping for a mattress for me and came across this memory foam mattress in a box I saw at walmart. It was the most economic price we could find and man am I glad we got it. We rolled out the mattress, let it gain form in a day and a half or so and it ready to go. The bed was incredibly comfortable for my likings from the start. 11 months later, and I still love it! I can honestly say that the only problem with this mattress is that it might be too comfortable haha. I'll admit, I've overslept some morning get-togethers with friends and family. I definitely recommend this mattress as I can say I sleep like a baby on it and have no problem staying asleep. Just make sure to have your gym routine/plans in place because if not, you're gonna end up like me just wanting to stay in bed watching movies lol. Less

Best Mattress EVER!!!

I bought this mattress back in April after healing from a back injury. Based on extensive research I decided to try this Medium Firm mattress. My parents come over to visit every week for Sunday dinner and always end up taking a long nap on my bed. They are obsessed. As am I. It has been wonderful for my back pain. It's sturdy but not too firm, it doesn't sink in too much, contours to my body. My grandparents enlisted me to purchase this exact same mattress for them in a King size. Even when my nieces and nephews visit, they make a beeline for my bed. This has been the best decision for my body, peace of mind and relaxation. I work on my feet for long periods of time and nothing is better than coming home to this mattress. It is phenomenal I couldn't recommend it more.

Very Nice!

Bought this mattress after having slept on a brick of a mattress for the past 5 yrs and what a difference. I was a bit skeptical about buying a mattress in a box, but I have no regrets now. This is listed as medium in firmness and to me, it's perfect. I have slept better in the past 2 nights than I have in years. The only downfall is that it may be a little pricey, considering there are so many sales going on starting now and through the holidays, but I'm fine with paying a bit more for a quality mattress. If you are considering this, don't hesitate..it's really nice.

Give it Time!

I bought this mattress about a month ago after I was experiencing neck and back pain from a mattress that was 10+ years old (yes. that old.). My old mattress had absolutely no support, and had a dip in the middle from being handed down from my mom, to my brother, and finally to me. So I knew I needed a mattress with more support. I got this in medium firm and the first few nights I was worried because I was waking up with stiffness so I thought maybe this mattress wasn't right for me. But I remember reading to give it a few weeks before you return it so I kept trying hoping that I would break it in. And I'm so glad I did! By the end of the first week, I was sleeping through the night, waking up feeling more rested, and no pain in the mornings!!!! It makes sense since I went from a mattress with literally no support to a mattress that was medium firm. My body just needed to adjust and now I absolutely love going to sleep at night! Getting in my bed is my favorite part of the day! So give it a few days before you decide you hate it. Less

Great experience!

I ordered the mattress online and got it delivered the same day. Very fast and efficient process. The mattress box was moderately heavy. Mattress was neatly wrapped and it took about 5 minutes or so to safely unwrap. I would suggest using scissors to carefully take the plastic wrap off, but be careful not to puncture the fabric. It unravels as soon as it is removed from the plastic. There was minimal crinkling at the bottom ends of the mattress, but that’s it! It is so soft I let out a big sigh when I laid on it. It’s both soft and firm at the same time and incredibly comfortable!! I’m very pleased with the product.

Seems more Firm than a Medium

It may seem a little harsh since I’ve only slept on it for one night, but this mattress barely has any give. The mattress feels like I’m laying on a comforter that’s on the floor, but a little softer. I had no problems opening the mattress and let it settle for 48 hours, so it didn’t have any creases. Couldn’t really tell that the mattress was supposed to be cooling since I felt warm all night, and was tossing and turning. I’ll give it a little longer to see if I change my mind, otherwise I’ll be returning it and getting a mattress that actually feels like a medium.Pros: Price, Able to pick up boxed in storeCons: Feels closer to a Firm than Medium, Little Give, No noticeable cooling effect

I Love My Serta!

I bought my Serta Mattress-in-a-Box (twin, medium) on April 15, 2023. It was delivered in 3 days! The heavy-duty shipping box arrived in perfect condition. The mattress was compressed and rolled up, double-wrapped in heavy brown paper and plastic wrap, which was easy to remove with the included cutter. Once released from the plastic wrap, the mattress unwound on its own. It expanded to full form overnight without any coaxing from me. I wasn't sure the medium mattress would be firm enough to my liking, but it is perfect! ... not rock hard and not mushy soft. I'm a side sleeper, and it offers perfect support the length of my body. Now a month later, the mattress has shown no sign of sagging, and I sleep like a baby. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! Serta never fails to make a quality mattress! Less

Like sleeping on a cloud!!

I recently bout a new rv that came with a new rv mattress. Which for anyone that hasn't experienced an rv mattress knows, it's like sleeping on a rock. So I attempted to fix said mattress with a mattress topper to a slightly more squishy rock. Not going to work so I purchased this mattress in a box at Walmart and brought it back to my rv and cut the many layers of plastic off and let it spring to life. The first night I slept on it, I didn't even move. I slept comfortably in one position all night.Being someone who works the 1st shift at work means I have to be at work at 4 a.m. and can work anywhere from 6 - 17 hours a day so I need all the sleep I can get.I would definitely recommend this mattress to friends and family and I would purchase another one if needed.I will willing donate my still in plastic new rv mattress to any of my enemies or someone with narcolepsy because they would have no trouble staying awake on that thing!! Less

1st night Review: So far so good

Only one night in but definitely an improvement in sleep from my previous 10 yo mattress that was super mushy.It is firm and gives my hips support so my back isn’t arching on my side or back. My arm did fall asleep in the night so not sure if it’s because of the lack of give in the upper body or how I was sleeping. I did sweat a little as well. Not sure if it was bed related (female/44) but I had not done that in a while. I will just adjust my thermostat. I am excited about my low back getting better through this change along with physical therapy. Firm, easy enough to set up, and so far, seems like an affordable bed with value.

What I Expected from Serta

My husband brought this mattress in a box strictly because it was Serta. We figured Serta knows mattresses. It came in a box which made it easy to transport home. Once we opened it up it took 2 days to really reach its potential. My husband loves it. He has back pain and for him the firmer the better. I on the other hand thought it was a tad too firm for my taste. I didn’t get a good nights sleep until about day four. The mattress became really comfortable soft but firm. Perfect for what we were looking for. So far it’s been about a week and a half and we are pleased. My husband goes right to sleep and can’t stop talking about his great find. Worth the money!
