Chainmail scrubbers are great for cast iron or other metal items (that are non scratch). I used this on my cast iron skillets and cast iron grill outdoors. The flexible rubber helps mold around edges and rounded items and provides a good pressure to scrape off any food, grease or stuck on items. I've had it for months and it still looks like new as I always wash it with dishwashing liquid and warm water after every use, then dry it and put it away.
Excellent quality
To start with I love the lodge brand. I have many of their cast iron pans. This is the first time I have purchased this chain link sponge. It is excellent quality. A little pricey but really nice. It feels solid and I don't feel any sharp burrs.
Doesnt really do anything
I’m not sure what the point of this is- the steel does nothing. A regular scrubby sponge is more effective. I made eggs in my cast iron and they immediately stuck- I bought this to scrub the egg off but it didn’t do anything. I ended up using salt instead. Waste of $20.
Knight Sponge
Never had one before and man I was missing out! Finally got one and it’s better than a sponge. Does not destroy the seasoning. It’s actually smoother than the backside of a sponge. My girl called it the “knight sponge”, and now it’s permanently referred to as that. Don’t be a fool, buy one of these right now!
Does wonders. It honestly gets the grime off. I love that its easy to clean. Just be careful if you leave steel wool it gets the threads and pulls on them. Had it for a year almost and still looks brand new after many uses. My mother uses it more than me she loves it as well haha. A plus scrubber for me.
A Must For Cast Iron
I wish I would’ve bought this sooner. It’s fantastic for not only regularly cleaning cast iron, but also restoring it. You need this to remove rust and restore cast iron. It’s a good size and I love the ring. I hang it on a hook inside my cabinet door under the kitchen sink.
Bought for cleaning seasoned cast iron griddle. Do t need any soap just use w kosher salt to remove and food debris. Quick rinse w water and dry thoroughly. Works great
The shopping experience was very disappointing because there was only one register available and the line was very long. This is not the first time I encountered long lines in this store. Please look into this because it will affect my willingness to return
Links fell apart
After only two uses, the chain-links came unlinked and were falling off into my hand. My disposal started making loud, grinding noises. Soon after I realized one of the links had fallen into the disposal and gotten caught in the mechanism.
Great scrubber, eco friendly
I have been using this on my Lodge Chef Collection 10" Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet for a few months. It does a great job of removing all the stick on food. It looks nice , is dishwasher safe and has held up perfectly.
[Rewarded Review] Works great!
This is a very nice cast iron pan scrubber and it seems to be very durable. It is a silicone sponge surrounded by chain mail to get the toughest messes off all your cast iron pans.
[Rewarded Review] Great for cleaning the cast iron
The Lodge Chainmail scrubbing pad in blue is great to use when a brush doesn’t get all the stuck on food off your cast iron. It does help to remove most of the uneven build up on the pan. It doesn’t remove 100% of the food, but it does get pretty much of it off. I usually soak my cast iron with dish detergent and hot water for a few minutes. I will then break out the Chainmail scrubber pad and get to work on it. It fits nicely in the hand. Once I cleaned the cast iron I just put the scrubber in the dishwasher and it’s ready for the next use.
[Rewarded Review] I hate the noise it makes!
It cleans the grill great but that scraping sound is awful! I do not recommend to people who hate chalkboard because It sounds a lot like that. But if you can get passed that then it cleans great! Easy to clean once your done cleaning the grill. I do like that its able to be squeezed so it can ring out. Even though it’s not a sponge lol. It just depends on your liking.
[Rewarded Review] No Wire Bristles!
This scouring pad was rugged, yet safe. It scrubbed the burnt on gunk off the grill without leaving dangerous metal bristles behind to adulterate your food, next time. I didn't injure myself either, as the chainmail design has no sharp edges. Cleaning the grill has never been so easy and pleasant before! Usually, it is a yucky job that I dread, but I was able to quickly knock this task out and enjoy the rest of my day.
[Rewarded Review] Works great....the best cast iron scrubber I've fo
I have a collection of cast iron cookware ( and now a Lodge Weekender ! ) all of which I use year round.). So invested in the care and maintenance of my collection. This scrubber is the best I've found. It's heavy duty enough to handle the toughest baked on food or pretty much anything that clings to your cast iron cookware. I'll buy another ( or three ) when I see them at the Lodge Cast Iron display where I shop. They are that good. Go Lodge ! You rock...
[Rewarded Review] Tough little scrubber
In this chain type scrubber, intended for (pre-) seasoned cast iron. Since I take pretty pristine care of my cast iron, I can't speak to cleaning 'chunks' off my pre-seasoned pans yet. However, I can comment that for frying fish or eggs in cast iron (both which have a tendency to stick no matter how well seasoned the pan is), I think this little pad would be just the right cleaner. It seems durable and is small enough to fit compactly with other cleaning supplies.
[Rewarded Review] WOW..AWESOME
This scrubber, is so nice to use. Fits the hand nice also. I scrubs the gunk off with out hard pushing. Makes the pans shiney clean. The loop to hang it was an added feature, and so handy. The design of the scrubber works well. The chain in no way hurts your hand. However don't use every time . Its for hard to clean burnt on, particles stuck to the pans. Give it a try, you will be pleased you did. Use with your pan cleaner.
[Rewarded Review] Tail gating
This cast iron grill is well built . It is 12"round. It has a base for your charcoal and a dome cover. The cover has removable handles. It is made for you to be able to increase or decrease the flow of air. Make sure you use oil on the grill before cooking. Place the base on bricks. It is made to be used outdoors. It doesn't hold a lot of food but good for tailgating.
[Rewarded Review] Great cast iron scrubber
First, this is not meant to clean grease off your cast iron, you don’t want to do that. It’s meant to clean off any grime and flaking material left on your cast iron after cooking. You need the thin layer of grease/oil on your pan to keep it seasoned and working properly. Some people use salt to aid in the scrubbing/cleaning but I’ve found this works well with nothing but warm water. I had this for use on my outside grill and cast iron griddle, where it worked wonderfully on the griddle side, although it didn’t fit between the groves on the grill side as well as I hoped. It worked well enough that my wife stole it for use on her heavy cast iron fry pans and skillets in the kitchen. She had been using an antique chain mail scrubber, but liked this one better because of the silicone insert. Guess I’ll need another one for the grill and my cast iron camping pans and grill.
[Rewarded Review] Love the Lodge Chainmail Scrubbing Pad
I absolutely love the Lodge Chainmail Scrubbing Pad, Blue Square Silicone, ACM10S31. I used it to clean up my griddle after making pancakes and eggs and it works great, it is the toughest scrubbing pad I have ever used in my entire lifetime. I will use it for years as it is well made, and cleans off the stuck food on the griddle. I highly recommend everyone to buy one of these well built scrubbing pads to use for their cast iron and also works on your grill. Everyone knows, we have to keep food items clean, and with this scrubbing pad, it is now totally possible to keep grills and griddles both clean as when they are new. It scrubs off the toughest food ever. Thank you for making such a wonderful product.
