Little Tikes Pink Playhouse

First off, let me say my granddaughter loves her playhouse. Secondly, you will need at least two people to put it together. The pieces are not made as they were back in the 90's. Then, they were thicker, bulkier. Today, they are slimlined and a lot easier to handle. Bottom line is would I recommend this product? Yes, I would and do. For reference, my granddaughter is 2 years old.

Perfect for Imaginative Play!

My kids absolutely love the Cape Cottage Playhouse! The design is adorable, and the working door and windows make them feel like they have their own little house. It’s lightweight enough for us to move it from indoors to the backyard, and the assembly was surprisingly easy. They spend hours playing in it, pretending it’s everything from a post office to a secret clubhouse. Definitely worth every penny!

Good Buy

Our daughter loved getting her little house for her 2nd birthday this summer! Easy to assemble and although it’s not as sturdy and thick as the one I had in the 90s, it is still good quality. We’ve had our 4 and 6 year old niece and nephew over to play and two of them fit inside easily - all 3 kids squeezed in with no complaints, just not much wiggle room! Overall pleased.

Little tykes JUNK house.

The plastic screws to connect weren’t long enough. Can not buy these in any store. The color was gray on the sides and beige on the ends. The door was broken in the box. Very flimsy. Roof is already sagging. Not at all like pictured. Very disappointing and dissatisfied with the product. DO NOT BUY THIS. Waste of money.

Cracked cheap plastic

Received package on time however while assembling found the door has a crack in the center. A sharp cut in the door. The box was not damaged during delivery. The plastic is cheap and flimsy. Highly disappointed. Not worth the effort to return. Expected more as this item was expensive for what it is.

Disappointed mom

The door of the house came with a crack in the middle of the door. Not sure if it was shipped that way or happened through shipping. I’ve also noticed other parts of the house all scratched up. Then it came with different color walls. 2 are grey and the rest are cream colored which is not shown in the picture online. So it’s not as advertised. Pretty disappointed as this was a gift for my son

Decent, arrived damaged

Shipping was faster than expected. But once I opened it and started assembling, I saw there were several pieces appear to be melted and deformed. This made assembly difficult by oneself. The side are grey not white either. Even thought it arrived with damage, i was able to get it together, and the kid likes it.

Perfect for 2 year old

This house is honestly adorable and the perfect size for my 2 year old. Considering it’s one of the most inexpensive playhouses on the market, it’s pretty nice. It took 30 minutes to put together and is easy to move around. My son absolutely loves it. We were able to bring it inside by quickly removing the roof. As other reviews mentioned, it did not come with the decals and the sides are gray and front and back are beige but I don’t mind that. Gives it character. Overall we’re happy with it.

I bought the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse for my niece, and it has been an absolute hit. Great design

This design is great. Love the color. The size is perfect. The overall quality lacks the desired thickness for the structure to hold its design well. The door will not stay shut. The plastic of the walls bends and folds. It doesn’t have the sound quality you come to expect from a high quality brand Little Tikes.

One door and a shelf

I still own the original 1980's little tikes house, sturdy enough that my children could climb on& sit on the roof, down side it is heavy, not easy to move. Bought this new house for my grandchildren. Light weight, easy to move, not sturdy enough to climb on or sit on. The house is cute, my major complaint is one door, not two, a shelf really? Shame on you little tikes, screams cheap out cost cutting.

Great product bad customer service

I love this product, it’s easy for moms to put together on their own. So designed well for assembly. My only bone to pick is the customer service. I tried to buy in store for the same price and was forced to buy online. When I had it in my cart. Walmart should price match online to instore. I wasted my time for $50 difference.

Don’t buy this!

I purchased this playhouse for my toddler as a gift. The box we received it in was damaged, but we opened it anyways. Quick glance everything looked to be in good condition, however upon looking closer 2 corners were cracked/broken. I contacted customer support to have replaced or refunded. They refused to have the item picked up to be returned, replace the item, or be refunded without me bringing it to the nearest store. I don’t live close to a Walmart store (hense why I ordered it online). I also don’t own a vehicle large enough to fit the box it came in. The customer service rep was rude and said there was nothing he could do and left the chat. The old style of Little Tikes playhouse is much more sturdy than this newer style. The plastic is more flimsy and “cheap”. I expected better quality for paying over a hundred dollars for this. Also very disappointed in the Walmart customer service since I shop at Walmart religiously as well as pay to be a Walmart member. Learn from me and don’t buy this.

Terrible playhouse

This is absolutely a very thin and terrible quality playhouse. Don't waste your money on it. And one side has an opening with a bar in the middle. I don't even know why it's made like that. Looks like there is something missing from it. Very flimsy!!!! Very thin!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! Ridiculous that it's made so thin!!!. My kids had one when they were little and it was amazing and so nice. My grandson can't even push on the door to shut it because it's so thin it bends when he trys to shut it!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYHOUSE!!!!

Perfect for what you pay for

It's a cute little house but very flimsy. You get what you pay for. It's just unfortunate there is such a price difference between the flimsy plastic and durable products. You have to be careful with the door, as it latches in the center and not at the top or bottom. So it bends in ward. The sides had random black markings all over mine but I received all of the proper parts and my toddler is happy!

Decent for the price

I was looking for a playhouse under $200 and that is what I got. The first model we bought in store was definitely a return since the box had been retaped shut and when we brought it home for assembly, the door had a huge crack in it. I returned it the next day but all of the other boxes in store looked a bit beaten up so I decided to order online. Next day free shipping! Woohoo! If it’s coming from the warehouse, surely it must be in perfect condition. No such luck! One wall was warped so badly it wouldn’t right itself until the roof was on. Oh well. It’ll get the job done and my son loves it. We accessorized with some faux flowers and solar lights from the dollar store. I don’t think it’ll last through winter/with any snow on top or high winds. We’ll likely store it in the basement.

Two sides are gray

It’s a fine little flimsy plastic house. I don’t think any of them are worth what they charge. Be aware, most of the official photos of this player are repainted sets. It’s very misleading. You can only kind of tell that two of the walls are gray in one photo and it’s under a very shaded tree so you would never see it if you didn’t already know. Two sides are a warm creamy beige. So sides are a DARK gray. It looks ridiculous, and I guess that’s why everyone repaints this model. But it is the cheapest one and it functions like any of the others. So if you’re a DIYer or you just don’t care how it looks then get this one.

Terrible quality

We bought this playhouse for the little tikes name because despite it being plastic, little tikes products have always held up really well. This is a cheap, thin, awful quality playhouse that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. We didn’t even get it put together and the fasteners and hardware were already breaking. I took the few pieces apart I had put together and put it right back in the box. Little Tikes- please don’t sell out and start making cheap crap like the rest of the kids products out there.

It’s a shell! NOTHING on the inside

I should’ve looked closer. It’s a stripped down shell. The only play houses I’ve ever been in had a little seat or something in there- so I just assumed. NOPE. I’m having to figure out what toys to throw in there with her. Like, this is a shell. You can see where some stuff should go…I’m regretting going with the cheaper option here. Guess im going to fork over more money to get the other more expensive one…but I will look more closely to see what is inside this time. I can’t believe how expensive things have gotten. This is insane! There’s literally nothing inside of this house to play with! lol
