I was disappointed with Rock City. Maybe I missed it, being made out of thin plastic. I bought lg metal washers to deter squirrels

The new house version is made of thin, brittle plastic. One fall from the top of the 6 foot post and one end split from the impact on grass. Wouldn't buy again. I should have kept the one made of wood and particle board from 20 years ago.

Very good materials in this one. Also have a 10 year old house. Materials not so good in that one. Would like to have awarded 5 stars. However, the instructions for the interior construction are very poor and written in another country. Construction for someone with NO mechanical ability would be difficult.

Terrible product thay you should not be carried. The wooden ones I have bought in years past were perfect. Cardboard dividers inside this item are a joke.

Love this little iconic bird house. Can’t wait for next Spring for the nesting birds to find it. Easy to put together. Fun project for kids.

I had one of these birdhouses for years but lost it after a storm. The replacement had birds moving in the same day I hung it in my tree. Would have given 5 star but assembly was a bit wonky/ screw holes a bit off kilter.

My husband wanted one and loved it! During assembly, he noticed that some of holes for screws didn’t line up, but he fixed it easily. He’s so proud of it, he’s mounted it in the front yard, so it looks like I’ll need to get flowers to match it!
