Velocity 240IR - Spectacular

I've had the Velocity 240IR for at least a couple of years. It is common for me to iron 25-30 shirts in one sitting (standing!). I cannot say enough about this iron, it does the job better than any other iron I have used and after so long and so many shirts it is holding up like brand new. I highly recommend the Velocity 240IR for those with a small load or a large load of shirts like me!

I love Reliable steam generators!

I purchased this iron to replace the one I might have just killed. Long story . . . But I had it for around 10 years and it still actually works, it just doesn't produce steam anymore. The new iron is kept in my bedroom because it's a pain to go up and down stairs to iron clothes. It, of course, works wonderfully! The steam is marvelous and the heat is perfect for what I need to press. Haven't used the higher setting yet, but once this hot summer is done and I can wear/iron jeans again I'll certainly check it out. My "downstairs" iron is the Maven 1L Home Ironing Station that I use for sewing/quilting, but that's a review for another time. These steam generating irons don't leak, spit, or sputter. I'll never buy another brand.

doesn't work

I tried the distilled water and it won't even heat up..so it must be something in the iron..

Stops working

Bought this in 2023..it stops working after six months..this is my third iron and they all do the same..no matter where I purchased it..It is the iron..

I love this iron!

This iron works great! I love that it makes such great steam, but it only steams when the handle is held, so it conserves water, meaning it doesn't have to be refilled as often. It is a great weight, heavy enough to get the job done. This model also has a quiet beep, and there is a way to bypass the auto-shutoff.

Absolutely the best iron ever.

Absolutely the best iron ever. I chose it specifically because the auto-shut off safety feature can be turned off. No standing around waiting forever to heat up again. Even if auto-off left on the iron stays at temp for a long time and reheats very quickly. Perfect steam output. When you release hold on handle the steam stops flowing. So great. Hope to be able to write the same glowing review 10 years from now!

Reliable Iron

The best iron! I ordered a second one for my winter home. It NEVER becomes “incontinent” like all the other name brands!

Trying Reliable for the first time

Having been a seamstress for 50+ yrs, I am very demanding of an iron that performs and lasts. Dissatisfied with a previous high-end iron brand, I am trying Reliable for the first time. I like the simplicity of the iron settings and the choice of auto shut off or no auto shut off (preferred).

Great iron but very heavy

The iron works great as advertised and I love the auto shut off bypass feature Which is the main reason I bought this particular brand. But I had no idea it was so heavy or so large. There also only seems to be one steam setting although supposedly it figures out how much you need automatically which is kind of a mystery. Also didn’t realize it takes distilled water which I don’t have and probably won’t use. It’s particularly good on heavy and bulky fabric. Haven’t tried it yet on anything real flimsy.
