Not for me :(

I have been using acids to exfoliate for years now and this product did not blow me away. It does it’s job, nothing I haven’t felt before with other cheaper products. What throws me off is the oily finish it leaves o. My skin, it’s really

This works!!!

I have been using the Resurgence line almost as long as it has been available. I started using this particular product about 8(?) years ago. I have sensitive skin, but slowly increased how often I would use this. I may get a little tingle in the beginning if I didn't use it for a few weeks, but it goes away. This almost instantly makes my skin smoother, softer, clearer, brighter, plumper, leas/no visible pores. The smell is because there are active ingredients & no fragrance, which you don't want in your skincare if avoidable (there are a number of amazing skincare brands/products with unpleasant scents, but they are effective). The smell discipates after you apply. Get it!!!

Best Exfoliant- smaller pores

I'm a licensed esthetician and this product is beyond amazing. I have dry sensitive skin and this does not irritate me at all (if you have irritation you are having an allergic reaction to an ingredient in it). I have used this for 4 night in a row and holy cow, no joke, I can't even see the pores on my nose anymore and my skin is soooo smooth and bright. It is a bit pricey but it's totally worth it, a little goes a long way and it's a pretty big bottle, it should last a long time. And I did not notice a weird smell with mine like other people in the reviews- just a reminder that it's better to not have fragrance in skincare products and you use this at night time only.

I had a very good experience with Lorena from customer support. I was querying the cost of Youngblood mineral makeup on live chat (excellent product by the way) of which I had bought 2. The cost of the item displayed for sale appeared less than the final checkout price. It turned out the sale price was for a particular color but this was unclear on the page. Lorena looked into the discrepancy immediately and after explaining the reason, offed to give me a refund on that particular sale to compensate for the confusion. She was polite and considerate throughout. It’s good to know that such a fabulous Aussie company has such lovely staff!

Best chemical exfoliant out there

I'm 42 and my daughter is 16 and both of us use this on our skin to clear acne. She's actually the one that taught me how! She has hormonal cystic acne and I have just regular old hormonal acne as a middle aged adult. We have found that it works best to shake it well, then put a few drops on your fingers and spread it over your face. I have also use this to treat blackheads and clogged pores on my neck and shoulders. Either it's very gentle or she and I have very resilient skin because we are both able to use it every day with no negative side effects at all. We are on our third bottle. Using two or three drops a day really makes it last for an incredibly long time! I'm talking 9 to 12 months at a minimum. Highly recommend and five stars all the way!

My holy grail

I almost never write reviews, but I need to share how much I love this product. I received a sample of this, and after using the sample for about 2 weeks I saw an immediate improvement in my skin (this never happens for me). I was a little put off by the price - but let me tell you, a little goes a long way. One bottle lasts me about 9 months. And I will continue to buy this until they no longer make this product! I am in my 40s - so I have the typical complaints of fine lines, dullness, hyperpigmentation, and the hormonal acne flare up. This product has virtually eliminated my acne flare ups. My skin is now so smooth! Granted I'll never have the skin I had when I was in my 20s, but this is a close second- my fine lines have greatly diminished, the hyperpigmentations have faded, and my skin glows. I absolutely love this stuff. An added bonus is that it has also eliminated my flaky dry skin around the nose I tend to get in the winter months. Been using it for over two years now - zero issues or complaints. If you have the usual age related skin issues, I highly recommend giving this a try. Worth every penny.

big no. skin worse in ways I’ve never seen.

I consulted with Murad several times about this before and after purchasing and although their responses are always very generic and vague, I thought the products would be great for me. I have acne prone, prematurely aging skin at 33 and at first I thought I loved this peel and quickly became a huge Murad fan. I was so wrong. The AHA/BHA exfoliating Cleanser is also terrible for my skin. The one product that I may use up is the retinol youth renewal serum, but I’m very hesitant. I’ve always had good skin but things started changing quickly for me in my life and my skin shows it. I’m a skincare consultant for another brand and I’ve been doing a lot of research about skincare ingredients and other factors such as diet and water quality. These things do matter, especially with Murad. I live in NY but not the city and I believe that maybe I have hard water, making these products the opposite of what my skin needs. Anyway, I spoke with a skincare professional (not my brand) today and she confirmed that the third ingredient in this long list is just no good. It seals your skin like plastic wrap and doesn’t allow for toxins to be released. It clogs pores, causes acne, premature aging, and other skin conditions. It seemed great the first few times but it truly is the worst product I’ve ever put on my face and it’s obvious through trial and error that this was 100% the culprit. My skin could not my breathe or sweat through even a tiny amount of this. It was just shiny and gave me blackheads, pimples, and uneven texture (& tone) that goes well beyond large pores. Sometimes I’d even get almost bubbling but unlike anything I could explain. I’m so glad I found out for sure that this is definitely, only making my skin worse. I’m returning it to Murad tomorrow. Look up that third ingredient and trust me, if you’re at a all concerned about your pores and/or acne, and overall skin health, skip this or at least consult with an unbiased professional.

Best face peel but too high a price :(

This is the gold star facial peel. It contains LITERALLY EVERY ingredient meant to benefit skin!!!! There are no unnecessary ingredients in this. For example, I was using the Farmacy Glow Honeymoon and it seemed to be working at clearing up my skin and brightening my face but even after the purging process one month in, I was still getting small bumps on my face and tiny white heads occasionally. I realized it was due to the lemon, orange, basil and citral it contained, which are fragrance ingredients. Natural and synthetic fragrance causes skin irritation which then leads to acne. So, even though it was getting rid of my acne and brightening my face, it also couldn’t help but to cause some acne and uneven skin texture. The Drunk Elephant is the only other peel that I have tried and that is 2nd best to this product. This does everything I need it to. It brightens, gets rid of acne and blackheads. It fades dark spots and acne scars. It also HYDRATES my skin which baffles me. It does sting a bit when first applied but after a minute or two it fades and it does not sting like the Farmacy one does and that is because Farmacy contains lemon which should never-ever be applied to skin. The only reason I took 1 star away from this review is the high price. I was thankful to receive this in a deluxe sample size with enough to last me a month.

HELPS WITH TEXTURED SKIN

I first received a sample of this product a while ago and remember really enjoying the use I got out of it. Fast forward to a few months ago, I decided to splurge and buy the full bottle. This peel IS NOT CHEAP. But to be fair, I bought this in mid-March and its now mid-May and I still have a decent amount of product left.

Once again back at it with the Sephora samples lol this time around I found a winner. The star of the show is the . I decided to finally try it out today after holding on to it for so long and holy moly is this a good product. It comes out as a semi thick liquid almost like an essence. I put the contents on to a cotton pad and applied it all over my face. I was a little nervous at first because I did feel a bit of a tingle but that quickly subsided. As I was looking in the mirror I was surprised at how beautiful my skin looked I mean it was glowing. Now I know that a lot of products can provide a glow over time but the surprise came from the fact that this was literally my very first time using this and it immediately gave results that I am most certainly down for. I’m super stoked to see what my skin will look like after using this over a period of time and I am looking forward to it. I’m already in the process of purchasing the full size lol. It can be hard finding products that truly deliver but when you do find those particular items I don’t even think twice about adding it to my skincare regimen. This product is hands down worth trying it is spectacular.

I got a sample size in an Ulta beauty bag, which lasted me about a week and a half. I used this religiously, every night after washing, in place of my toner. I waited for it to completely dry and then applied hydrating serum and moisturizer on top. I was worried it was going to dry out my face, but surprisingly it did not. I experienced some redness afterwards, especially after the first use, but that subsided quickly.

Face Time

Price is high, but a great product. I just got into murad products, after trying others. I do not feel any burn or dry out from Murad products, even this one. I guess because my face has gotten use to retinol and peels from other brands that did burn my face. those products I had to throw away and yet so expensive. I took on Murad products and so far I have not been disappointed. They are not harsh to me at all but make my face soft and glowing. To be honest of all the retinol I have tried and peels I have tried from other high end brands none of them really reduce pore size or wrinkles. I mean let's be honest nothing is the fountain of youth. what keeps me either buying or discarding products is really how they feel and how I feel using them. In all honesty reviews are nice to go by but you should decide for yourself if you want to try the product or not. No two faces are alike, we all have our own unique genetic make-up. What may work for you may not work for someone else. The plus is if you don't like it just return it. Also a piece of more advice, some products take months to see results, just like some medications do. so give yourself some face time before you pass judgement. much live on your beauty journey, good luck! Remember beauty always starts from within and how you treat yourself.

Whoa to the smoothness!

Wow, this stuff really is awesome. I’ll start by saying, I am really into acids and peels. I use Sunday Riley GG lactic acid, I recently bought the ordinary’s 10% lactic acid and their Alpha Lipoic acid, plus used a pure 30% glycolic acid. So I have quite a lot of experience with it. I got this as a free trial size from Sephora’s beauty offers without really investigating ingredients. When I got it I read it had glycolic, lactic, AND salicylic acids and I was like crap because I’m really sensitive to Salicylic acid and get dry patches when I use it. However, I tried this product and have not had that issue at all so far. I’m using as directed, twice a week. And after the first use, the next morning I looked in mirror and was like whoa! My face was so much smoother it was crazy. I’m 33 and have pretty deep wrinkles sadly, and many fine lines. They were all minimized in appearance overall. Even my husband mentioned my skin looking great! Only downside is the price of the full size, but it’s def worth it and I’ll prob buy it and ditch others (except GG since it’s amazing). But I was super impressed with this peel! My skin is healthy, glowing, smoother and overall just better looking! My husband used it as well, totally different skin type, he’s oily large pores etc. and and he got same results as I did FYI! Buy it!

Peel Addicted

Peels have become an absolute staple in my beauty routine for the last year so when Murad sent me a sample of their Replenishing Multi-Acid Peel I was extremely excited and intrigued to see how it performed. After using this peel for a week, I could not recommend this product more. My skin is very fair and freckled which has resulted in major melasma and hyperpigmentation issues. I've tried major med-spa peels with absolutely no results, I've tried over the counter peels that ended up being a complete waste of money. After using the Multi-Acid Peel for just 7 days I could already see my skin looking more refreshed and brighter. The application is extremely easy too thanks to amazing packaging. There's nothing worse than having to fight with a bottle or get your hands messy just to put your products on effectively. You just dispense a small amount onto a cotton pad and rub on your face, neck and chest. It did tingle a little (not bad!) but personally, I love the tingle because I feel like it's actually doing something! I normally apply my peels during my nighttime routine because some will cause sensitivity if you are in the sun so I prefer only applying at night. Overall, if you are someone who has never used a peel or are a peel pro, I highly recommend this product!

Great for summer use!

This product was gifted by Murad for testing and I've been using it for 5 days now. I wanted to make sure I had a chance to properly test this product before discussing my opinions. My top priorities for products in the spring and summer are based on effectiveness, level of sun sensitivity and hydration vs drying effects. First the effectiveness, I needed something to replace my harsher products during spring and summer that won't damage my skin further by sun exposure. This checks all the boxes for effectiveness and safety. Although you must be careful to wear sunscreen, it's much safer than using stronger prescription products. This product has actually significantly diminished the site of a recent acne scar and I haven't had any breakouts since using this. At first, I thought this product may be drying, however it leaves my skin smooth and dewy after application. Additionally, I have actually been able to skip on my morning oil application and switch to a lighter moisturizer since I began using this. The packaging is easy to store for travel and easy to dispense. I have applied this product with both a cotton swab and just my fingers. I would recommend using a swab only because i felt like it penetrated my skin more. Both applications have been equally successful .I'm now using this instead of my retinol and hydroquinone creams for the next 3 months.

Gentle Exfoliation

A chemical peel is a treatment I've been curiously afraid to try. Thoughts of overly dry, blistering, peeling skin would always come to mind. This peel has erased my fear! In less than a week of use I have noticed visible improvement in my skin's texture, overall tone and clarity. My face appears much smoother and radiant, with minimal dryness. This bi-phasic peel with BHA (salicylic acid), TXA (tranexamic acid), and AHA blend (glycolic, lactic and malic acids), plus nourishing adaptogenic holy basil (rich in antioxidants and omega-rich oils), replenishes as it exfoliates, resulting in accelerated skin turnover with minimal dryness and irritation. BHA reduces the number of skin cells within pores, encourages skin exfoliation. The AHA blend works together to remove skin surface cells, enhancing skin's brightness, clarity and overall smoother texture. TXA brightens, revives and improves the appearance of discoloration and uneven skin tone. The peel is packaged in a vanity worthy, clear bottle, featuring a fool-proof product applicator design that minimizes product waste. After a simple shake of the bottle, the water-textured peel dispenses easily onto a cotton pad. A quick swipe of the saturated pad to a clean, dry face (and chest and neck if you desire) at bedtime is all it takes! No rinsing necessary. Once dry, I apply moisturizer. I have incorporated the peel into my nighttime skin regimen every other night and I soon plan to increase to nightly application. Sunscreen is an absolute must during the day, even when driving or walking to the mailbox. Exfoliation of the top (protective) layers of skin increases sun sensitivity! Lastly, for added hydration and to promote a healthy skin microbiome, I have also incorporated Murad's step 1 cleanser from their Hydration line "Prebiotic 4-in-1 MultiCleanser" and Step 4 Prebiotic 3-in-1 MultiMist (helps prime and set my makeup). I received the products mentioned complimentary for review from Murad.

Quick, effective, and gentle

I highly recommend this product because of how easy and effective it is! The packaging feels substantial and the vocabulary used to describe the product makes it sound high-end and legitimate. The bottle itself is clear (which I love for liquid products) and has a green and clear "oil-meets-water" look. As per the instructions, I shook the bottle prior to application, which I loved because of the illusion that the product has been freshly activated. The twist off cap secures tightly and does not cause any dripping!! The product applied easy and evenly with a cotton ball, leaving no oily residue on my skin! I have acne-prone skin and this product didn't give a stinging sensation whatsoever; something I was highly impressed with. After only 4 uses, my skin looked brighter and fresher! The name "acid peel" doesn't represent the product well, in my opinion, because I saw it as more of a high-end toner. My dead skin didn't peel away, as I would've initially believed, and it was surprisingly very gentle!! Though I received this product for free to try, all thoughts expressed are my own and I would highly recommend purchasing this product!

Murad Replenishing Multi-Acid Peel

Just like everyone else, I get acne from time-to-time due to stress and weather. I received this product as a free sample and I can not be happier with the result. I have only been using the product for 3 days, that's all just 3 days, and I am already seeing results. My old skincare regime was just to wash my face every morning with basic cleanser, and when I saw breakouts were starting to appear then I would rush to the pharmacy to buy acne medication. But, from using MURAD Replenishing Multi-Acid Peel, I have learned to be able to prevent the acne breakout long before it starts. I use this product after I cleanse my face with Murad Hydration Prebiotic 4-in-1 MultiCleanser. Where I live, it is hot and dry, so my skin gets very dried out, yet I still breakout. Thus, this cleanser hydrates my skin and then I am ready for the replenishing multi-acid peel. Once, I am finished I feel refreshed, my skin feels glowing, and I feel a lot more confident and better about my face and its presentation. My skin doesn't feel dried out at all. I highly suggest it. I really do think it is an excellent product and you will not be disappointed with the results.

Acid Peels are my new favorite skincare step!

I received this product as a free sample but all opinions are my own! I'm a huge fan of Murad products, so I was really excited to try this. I've been using this peel for over 4 days in a row, and this is my first time trying an acid peel. On the first day I followed the directions and put the product on a cotton pad before sweeping it across my face and neck. I think I didn't use enough product the first day though bc I didn't notice any results for the first 2 days. I added more product by actually soaking the cotton pad so that I could really feel the tingle on my skin. It's a really interesting sensation. It doesn't hurt by any means, but be ready for it so you don't get surprised like me LOL! On the morning of the 3rd and 4th day I really noticed a difference in my acne scars on my forehead and sides of my face!! These are scars that have lightened up over the years, and so I didn't expect them to get any lighter. But they're lightening up more woohoo! There hasn't been noticeable change with smoothness and wrinkles, but hopefully with continued use I'll see results for those as well. But I totally recommend this for people that want to reduce dark spots and acne scarring! Love it!

Effective Formulation Great for Daily Use

Out of all the Murad products in the Resurgence line, this one is by far my favorite for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the formulation/ingredients lists is very good - containing several clinically-proven actives that cover a lot of your "skin resurfacing" bases that facilitate cellular renewal/turnover for brighter, more even-toned skin (i.e. AHA/Glycolic Acid/Malic Acid/Lactic Acid and BHA/Salicylic Acid). This product applies in the same fashion as a toner, and thus has a watery consistency. I have been using toners of this sort for awhile now, so I do not really experience any tingling sensation. As with any product contain direct acids and/or retinoids, daily SPF application of 35 is a MUST to see the true benefits of using such products over the long-term without causing further damage to the skin. All in all, this is a great toner - I gave this 4/5 stars simply because I have only been using this for a few days, and the price point is a bit high (this product formulation is WAY better than a lot of comparable brands selling similar products at higher price points though). I am going to use this over the next couple months, and will update my review accordingly.
