The glass jar part receives 5/5 stars but the lids get 3/5 stars as they don’t stay secured for food storage. At this time I haven’t found a lid to fit the gallon size jar. Please find a better quality lid to pair with these jars.
Lovely design for household use
It’s a great purchase. I wanted to test out how it fits in my storage room and it provides easy handling. It’s provides durability for my delicate designs and holds my necessities where I can see them. I’m glad it’s a new staple for me.
Best Bang for the Buck
I have 4 of these now and swear by them for everything! They're sturdy, and close air-tight. Wouldn't get anything else.
Perfect jar to make sun tea.
Exactly what I wanted. I replaced the metal lid with a plastic one to eliminate corrosion. My only complaint is that the bottom is not perfectly flat and it rocks a little bit when I stir the sweetener into my tea.
for the price these jars are wonderful.
these glass jars match ones I got 20 yrs ago at a health food store. I use them to store different flours, grains, nuts dried fruit, and other food items in. Being square-ish they fit on the shelves nicely , and lined up then are very pretty filled with different colored items. Great price for a useful item.
Missing jar
I ordered 2 1 gallon cracker jars, but only received one. Call Walmart and was told to come to pick up and they would take care of it, so the next day I came to pick up but was unable to get the other jar. I called the number several times, but no one answered. When ask the ones delivering groceries to others, I was told to call the number. I did - no answer.
Eggs
My husband used this to make his amazing pickled Asian eggs. It keeps them fresh in the fridge. The seal is tight. The opening is large enough. And the shape of it allows it to take up a small space.
Nice but heavy
I liked these glass jars, but for me they are way too heavy. Wanted to use for flour and sugar… I’d never be able to
Happy
I needed a large jar to house my sourdough starter. I think I went a bit overboard with the size, but this was much cheaper than the Mason brand. I don’t care for the shape of this or the cheap feeling lid, but the price was what sold me since it’s just storing yeast. .
Perfect for baking supplies
I bought these to get rid of plastic storage containers. They work great for baking supplies, dog treats, etc.
Not what I expected from this company
Glass? Is it tempered? I don't know. Is the lid a quality lid? Definitely not.
good
this jar seals tight has alittle weight to it
Love this product
Love this product! I use it to store cookies for the holidays and even gift it to my friends (with jar full of cookies and embellishments! lol
Great for Food Storage
This jar is being used to store dried goods like Butler Soy Curls and Plant Basics Plant Protein Crumble. I especially like that it is a large clear lidded jar which allows me to quickly assess when it’s time to buy more to refill.
the perfect jar
wow it might just be a Simple Thing gallon jug jar with a screw top lid. it's much more can be whatever you desire to be that you can fill it with whatever you would like. you can paint it, detail it, or fix it up anyway you too the right price for just a simple job. but whatever you put into it is Limitless enjoy your jar
great until they break
Had it for 1 year, went to scoop out flour with a plastic measuring cup, barely touched the side and it shattered - good news is it doesn't appear to be actual glass but rather very thin plastic. Also not the most ergonomic design but was very secure and usable before this side broke.
Nice product
I only recently discovered this kind of food container. I usually use 32 oz Mason jars for food storage, but this Anchor Hocking 1-gal container is really nice for it's wide mouth and wide body. I think I will have a lot of uses for this. Glad to have found it on Walmart app
The jar made it to my house Not broken. I was worried about that but it was package right. It had lots of cushion around it so it wouldnt break.
Awesome!
I have several of these that we use in the kitchen for sugar, floor, pasta, cereal, beans, rice, etc. they are the pervert size and hold the 5 lb bags of sugar with a little room to spare. They seal really well so you don’t have to worry about moisture getting in. They also have a flat surface that’s perfect for labeling what’s inside!
Good jar
Ordered to store oatmeal packets because I have been fighting pantry moths. This fits about 24 oatmeal packets. The lid screws on securely.
